It is worth looking at the adaptation options for all the VAG vehicles. I have an Octavia and have found the MK7 Golf adaptations work very well. Make sure you go through the changes and make sure that all the steps listed are available for you to change before making any changes. Search for VWjap obdeleven tweaks on You Tube. There are lots of OBDEleven changes made very simple.
Thank you for that. Having had a look, you are correct. However, when selecting Faults it doesn't retain it and it has to selected each time you need to check the fault history. The IOS version has it available all the time.
I have the original OBDEleven non Pro unit. It works fine with an old Android phone, apart from a few connection issues with Bluetooth. One aspect of the App that is a problem is that it doesn't give you access to the fault codes once cleared when you look at the History. It tells you the number of faults and in which control unit, but doesn't give you access to the fault information once they have been cleared. I have installed the IOS App on an Iphone and although I cannot use the App to connect to the Dongle, I can log in to my account. In my account when logged into the IOS version, I can now access the details of the fault codes previously logged but cleared, and the option to carry out a search for the fault code information. Excellent facility.
You will need to select the correct lamp type. If you go into Control unit: 09 Central Electrics 1.Name: Leuchte12NL LB45 which I believe is one of the foglights but I don't know which side. At the top you will see Lasttyp 12 Open this and you will see all the types of bulbs that can be coded. You will need to determine which one you have installed. Probably trial and error. allgemeine led bis 12w translates to general led up to 12w so could be the place to start This is for one side only. You will will need to do each side separately, the other side being the following: 2.Name: Leuchte13NL RB5 This is the other side. Hope this helps
You could try this from a previous post Alternet, its been a while since I added a car but i thought these days you had to enter the VIN number to get your car on the app.
In the Garage you can make some changes, if you go to the white line above your vin number and select the pencil, then select Modify you will see the Model, Modification and body type, if its possible then you should be able to change the Model to the one you want.
However as I found out on one of my other cars that was a 2010 model (eg registered) but it was shown as 2011 this is because the manufacturers sell the uplift 2011 model in 2010
Support don't work weekends as far as i am aware but hopefully they will get back to you on monday if not you can email or use there online portal details here.
With regards to mirror dip if the app is not there then you can always code it yourself.
Although I have a Skoda Octavia 67FL the following adaptation was carried out by me to activate the Cornering Fog Lights. There are a number of extra steps, but as long as you keep track of the changes you can always reverse them if they don't work. My car has LED headlights and LED DRL's. The foglights are just foglights and do not act as DRL's. Control unit: 09 Central Electrics 1.Name: Leuchte12NL LB45 Lichtfunktion B 12: Old value: nicht aktiv New value: Abbiegelicht links 2.Name: Leuchte13NL RB5 Lichtfunktion B 13: Old value: nicht aktiv New value: Abbiegelicht rechts 3.Name: Static AFS light Maximaltemperatur: Old value: 0.0 °C New value: 100.0 °C obere Grenztemperatur: Old value: 0.0 °C New value: 95.0 °C Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle: This one changes the speed at which they will remain active. Old value: 40.0 km/h New value: 64.0 km/h Oberer Lenkradwinkel: Old value: 65 ° New value: 90 ° untere Grenztemperatur: Old value: 0.0 °C New value: 80.0 °C That worked for me. They both work separately when turning the wheel and when the indicator is used with a full push. It does not work when you use the comfort indication!
I have a 2017 Octavia and have used adaptations to operate cornering fog lights without an issue. The dipping mirror is a problem for me as I don't have the correct module. Use this check to establish if you have the correct module. forum.obdeleven.com/post/17492 My suggestion to establish what may be causing the problem with the reversing light is to undo all the changes you made one at a time until the reversing light works again. If you need the method I used to activate cornering lights let me know. Phil
Stop Start adaptation. Found this from a Golf Mk7 link and works fine for my car. When standing in a que of traffic or waiting at lights and the stop start has cut the engine, it restarts when the car in front inches forward even if the line of traffic isn't ready to move away. Very frustrating. This adaptation stops that from happening Enter module 19 Adaptive Cruise Control Go to EXPANDED RESTART FUNCTION Change from ON to OFF. The car will no longer start when the car in front moves off.
I have updated to the latest version of the official Skoda maps on my 2017 FL Octavia. The latest update has an added feature that shows speed limits on derestricted roads, dual carriageways and motorways as overlapping signs. The speed limit it shows by default is 10 mph lower than the limit that applies to a car. If you touch the signs the 2 signs open side by side showing both speed limits. I am informed that the lower limit is intended to show the lower limit for vehicles towing trailers or vans. Is there an adaptation or code change to identify the vehicle option as towing a trailer or that the vehicle is a van?
richard123 Did you get this sorted? I have had a number of occasions where I have been unable to confirm changes, getting the error message (31)function not available for no obvious reason. My solution via Tech Support which has worked every time for me is to do the following: Enter the control module you need to make the changes in. Access - Advanced Identification Access all the boxes and scrolled through all the data. I couldn't see anything that would help to identify the reason why I couldn't make changes so I closed it down and re entered Adaptations. I then made my changes and they were accepted straight away. This has happened a number of times and each time it has happened, I have carried out the above procedure and the changes have then been accepted. If you have the Pro version you can access it all the time. If you don't have the Pro version you will have to use 5 credits to access it. Hope this works.
Found this on the VWVortex.com site. I have a 2017 FL estate without heated seats. Tried and better tried to get the mirror dip to work, following advice from anyone who had a potential solution. This link will tell you if you have the required hardware to make the mirror dip properly. When I checked mine showed exactly as in the link - hardware not installed.
The bottom line is you need the Mirror Memory Module installed! If you are using the App to change the settings you will be wasting credits. If you have the Pro version you can find out without credits. If you don't have the Pro version it will cost you 5 credits to find out. Should help clarify the situation for a lot of people.
Veki if you have a UK car and can see a bulb in the left hand lens it should be straight forward. There are three changes to make but you need to check 2 others before making the changes. Go into Control unit: 09 Central Electrics Find Leuchte27NSL RC6 Then Dimmwert AB 27 Note the number. Mine was 100 Then Lasttyp 27 Not the value - mine was 9 - allgemeine Glühlampe 27W, auch H15 This is the bulb type you have fitted. Then go to Leuchte26NSL LA72 Then Lichtfunktion A 26: Change it from Old value: nicht aktiv To New value: Nebelschlusslicht wenn kein Anhaenger gesteckt Now go to Dimmwert AB 26 This should be 0. Change it to the number you noted earlier. Now go to Lasttyp 26 This should show show nicht aktiv. Change it to the same bulb type you noted earlier. Now save the changes by pressing the green tick. That should do it. Good luck.
This relates to an 2017 Octavia FL. I have had a problem having changes confirmed once made and pressing the green tick. The change fails to be confirmed and the following appears in red along the bottom of the screen!
(31) function cannot be performed This was in Control Unit 5F. I tried accessing with a security code but it would still not accept the changes.
This went on for several sessions. I contacted customer support and they suggested I go into
Advanced Identification function of 5F.
I accessed it and ticked all the boxes and scrolled through all the data. I couldn't see anything that would help to identify the reason why I couldn't make changes so I closed it down and re entered Adaptations. I made my changes and they were accepted straight away.
A few days later I went into 5F to make another change and found the same problem (31) function cannot be performed I carried out the same procedure as before by accessing the Advanced Identification and scrolling through. Once again entered Adaptations and again I was successful with my changes. Worth a try if you are faced with the same problem. Make a comment if works for you.
Update. Having tried many times to put the changes made back to the original settings but failed as OBDEleven just would not let me save the changes, I contacted customer support via the help section of the App. Although they didn't know what was preventing me from making and saving changes I was directed to select Advanced Identification. I selected it and was able to look at lots of information but nothing that indicated a problem with the dongle, App or the vehicle. I came out of that and attempted to perform the changes I had up to this point been unable to do. Hey presto - first attempt changes made and accepted - result. The fault code U111100 when cleared did not come back. Happy days. Thank you customer support.
