Is it possible to activate it?
I have DSG with Normal, Sport, Eco and Individual mode.
Off road mode is different acting of ABS and ESC and also HILL DESCENT CONTROL.
it became available as additional equipment few months after my car ( 2015).

I was researching something familiar (just the HDC) few days ago for VW Golf MK7.
Check in module 03-Brakes, long coding, Byte23/Bit3, Byte28/Bit5.

I have an Octavia with Columbus MIB1, production date feb 2015, and I managed to make HDC activation (1 byte changes in ABS unit), but couldn't find a way to set the graphical option in the radio screen. I used this to activate the Off Road for mine and it worked first time.
A bit of a novelty but it does look nice when displayed.

HDC=Hill Descent Control
it keeps constant speed downhill up to 30 km/h without braking or accelerating once it is set

does not indicate currency for turbo pressure or any oil temperature. just tilt and compass. what does it mean?

I had no problem with coding mine with the method shown in my earlier post. I must clarify that I have only activated the off road display. I do not have off road functionality. What car do you have?

^^^hmm...... If I can add a point that hasn't been raised yet (I think) - the Offroad Monitor will ONLY work if the car has SATNAV fitted

dv52 (Australia) , I believe that you can actually make it work without nav. No compass and no altitude, but you can see temperatures and steering wheel position. 5F > Security Access > 20103
