Hello everybody!! I got my brand new Golf SE MK7 a few days ago, it's equipped with Rear LED Lights. I love everything but I can't live with halogen reverse lamps  I swapped those lamps with some LED I bought but when I put in reverse, after a bit of time, the lights check gives me an error. Is there any adaption or something I can do to avoid that error to come up? I know the reference lights are Leuchte 28RFL and 29RFL, but with my basic knowledge I can go no further. What you need to do is to search adaptations for Leuchte28RFL LC11 (left-side lamp) and select Lasttyp 28 channel which will have the setting 9 - allgemeine Glühlampe 27W; auch H15 (this is used for an incandescent lamp). Change this setting to 37 allgemeine LED bis 12W or 40 allgemeine LED
Then search for Leuchte29RFL RA64 (right-side lam) and repeat for Lasttyp 29 channel

Thanks dv52, but still no luck with that.
The error I have is "Open circuit/short circuit to B+", if that can help.
Tried both the 37 and 40 values, but the error is still coming up.
I looked at the lamps and they are H23W, not H21W, should I just throw them away?

I assume that BOTH reverse lamps actually turn-on? At 23 Watt, the 37 allgemeine LED bis 12W won't be appropriate because this setting works for LEDs up to 12 Watts. I'm gonna try value #6, if that doesn't do it, I'll buy another pair of lamps.

Hei dv52, just FYI, tonight I tried using the value 4 LED Tagfahrlichtmodul Signal = 4 LED Daytime running light module signal and I didn't get any error, at least for the 5 minutes I left the reverse gear in, in the meanwhile I checked the lights and everything was working.
I guess my problem was the opposite of what we thought, the car was expecting more power consumption.
I'm gonna keep it checked the next few days.

^^^^ Whilst the same methodology would apply, I don't believe that the specifics in my post would be sutable - even though the MY19 Polo is built on the same MQB platform as the current generation Golf, Tiguan and Passat. But I do have a couple of 2nd generation Polo vehicles in my MQB database and they both have the Rückfahrlicht command (which is the Leuchte-command for the reverse light) in the Leuchte-set Leuchte28RFL C3. So - try looking for the Leuchte-set above as a first attempt. If you find it, check that Leuchte28RFL C3-Lichtfunktion A_28 has the reverse command. If it does, change the Lasttype channel to one of the LED types. If this doesn't work, keep trying different LED settings
If your car doesn't have the Leuchte-set above - you could try to find the correct Leuchte-set(s) (I suspect that the Polo might have only one reverse light - but not sure) by making a back-up of the module @ address hex09. Then search through the records for the term "Rückfahrlicht". This will identify the correct Leuchte-set.

^^^^ Good - then your settings confirm that leuchte 28RFL C3 is indeed the Leuchte-set that controls the reverse light(s). Try your suggestion for the lasttyp channel - if it doesn't work, try another LED option. If none of them work - revert back to the original setting

Sporadically the error message of the led appears I had to make this change after this I never had an alert on the display,

I can confirm that dv52's instructions works for my Skoda Kamiq MY2021 with basic led lights.
I have changed W16W Halogen reverse lamps to W16W Led lamps (https://www.osram.com/ecat/LEDriving%20SL%20W16W%20WHITE-LEDriving%20SL%20W16W-LED%20signal%20lamps-Car%20lighting-Automotive/asia/en/GPS01_3381001/ZMP_4062010/).
Fist i had the error coming, to check reverse lamps. After i followed the adaptation bellow as dv52 said and everything works well, without errors.

As additional info, I changed the rear bulbs for both reverse and indicator on a MY20 Polo GTi. The indicators worked without issue. The reverse lights threw an error when reverse was selected that would stay lit (orange triangle) until the car was powered off.
By using this information, I went to Adaptations - Leuchte28RFL C3 and could see the existing bulbs (2 of) were set as 2*21W Nebelschluss... I changed this to the setting 'Allgemeine LED 12w) and this seems to have resolved any issue but certainly the warning has gone after clearing all the fault codes too.
