First time caller, I mean post Need help on this please. My ACC has thrown a couple of error codes on my Golf r estate since new, cleared each time and never a problem, that is until today when C110300 - Adaptive cruise control sensor misadjusted appeared on the dash. I have tried clearing the code but it will not clear. I noticed the sensor was off centre, so after looking further it had unclipped on one side. But has now clipped back in and looks perfect, but I need to clear the code. Will this clear after a drive, ie self set? or can I do this with OBDeleven ? I dont want to get butt reamed by VW as they will probably charge for a reset OBDeleven data log Date: 2017-05-24 17:18 Car: Volkswagen Golf ® Variant 13 Adaptive Cruise Control System description: ACC BOSCH MQB Trouble codes: C110300 - Adaptive cruise control sensor misadjusted static Date: 2017-05-24 17:17:42 Mileage: 8793 km Priority: 4 Malfunction frequency counter: 1 Unlearning counter: 88

I hope that I'm wrong (VW butt reaming is always very painful - for your wallet!), but if the sensor was un-clipped from new, it's entirely probable that it will need to be re-calibrated in the new fixed position (I'm guessing of course). Calibration of these units needs special equipment which I very much doubt you will find anywhere else other than the "stealer"- alas.

Don I don't think it was like that last week as when I washed it I checked, I am OCD when cleaning, and sensor gets cleaned off. If it was unclipped, then I clipped it back in, will it still need calibration? The brackets and all now look like it was. I will try my old friend in Old Hill, VW Audi tech and see what he says and will update here when sorted Thanks bud

May ots possible that you need a new calibration after it was unclipped. It sets a faultcode because he was not in position and to erase the fault you need a new calibration wich only can do your dealer. If the car has waranty it will be just a visit at your dealer and no costs

UPDATE: the error has cleared! YAY! SO I drove 10-15 miles and when I returned home after a meeting the lights are owt! and the ACC is working again. Thank fanny adams! Seems that the ACC system can/does self set/recalibrate and maybe worth trying this for any future forum members who experience ACC errors from misadjusted/moved sensors.

I had the same problem. My dealer didn't have the correct equipment to realign the sensor. They wanted me to drive for 2 hours to another dealer and then wait for 4 hours while they worked on the car. Grr. I reattached the sensor with a new clip (mine was broken) and after a week or two it started working again but I had a "Inspection Now!" message every time I started and stopped the car. I cleared it today with this procedure: Car off. Engage hazard lights. Put foot on brake pedal. Press the odometer reset button and then press it again while holding it down and start the car. Release the odometer button. Click ok to clear the message.
