I just read somewhere that 2021 Audi models coding is not possible. The above mentioned procedure is to be understood as coding?
Any confirmation on that?

No idea tomiomni - you might be better asking this in the Q5 forum.....
Audi have changed the coding requirements for newer built vehicles - but it's unclear which vehicles are affected from which time period.
No-one here is going to be able to confirm if it'll work on your vehicle.

I had followed the tutorials on a few month ago, it was worked.
Module : 5F. (Information Control Unit)
Adaptation
Vehicle Configuration
MirrorLink = On
WiFi_Client_HMI = On
Apple_DIO_Wireless = On
wlan_5ghz_switch = Activated
Apple_DIO = On
but one day, I found the wifi ssid which named xxx_5ghz was disappeared.(I had plug my iphone into USB once)
I was try to reset the changes of 5F Module and do it again, but the xxx_5ghz ssid is still not appeared.
anyone can help me?

Just tried on my Audi A5 Cabrio 2018, didn't worked. But i don't have module 75. I have a wi-fi and CarPlay is working by cable. But i don't see _5ghz WLAN and Wireless CarPlay not working  I spend 140$ for obdeleven adapter because i want wireless carplay only  not fun at all |

Little added note: The Wireless carpal works fine but the 5F reports a BAD SW Version in OBD11 fault messages. This message has come after the coding for Wireless CarPlay .

Any clue on the Gen2 2021 Q3? I'm on MMI software Ms2p US AUG33 P2632D, and when I go into OBDeleven, not seeing ANY of the referenced adaptations in MMI 5F? Closest I can find is the WLAN module in long coding (set to not activated), which obviously might be a sign I don't have the WLAN side of things, but seems odd every other model (not just A7) would have the 5GHz radio but not this? Edit: update, didn't realize the "vehicle configuration" section was another sub menu in adaptations. I was able to update all the coding EXCEPT for enabling Apple_DIO_WIRELESS. Any time I added that change I got the following error "(31) Function not available", same with Google wireless coding. All other changes went through fine (5Ghz, etc)....
 How have you managed to avoid error 31? |

When I try coding this options, It seems to me that the operation can not be performed. What to do ?? Non-USA vehicles have Wireless CarPlay disabled, and this had really been bugging me, so I fixed it !! To enable Wireless CarPlay, follow these instructions. For info, I've got the Sound & Comfort pack, but I think the MMI's are the same across all vehicles. Note: Appears to require MMI Software Version: MH2p_ER_AUG35_P2470 or higher.
If you don't already have CarPlay working via USB, this coding will not enable CarPlay.
CarPlay requires activation first.
This coding is for activation of Wireless CarPlay only.
CarPlay Wireless ActivationFirst - unpair/delete any Apple devices from CarPlay and Bluetooth (including removing the car if already paired from the Apple device itself - setting/general/CarPlay).Module : 5F. (Information Control Unit) Adaptation Vehicle Configuration MirrorLink = On WiFi_Client_HMI = On Apple_DIO_Wireless = On wlan_5ghz_switch = Activated Apple_DIO = On Reboot the MMI (not sure how you do that!), or lock the car, and give it an hour or two - that's what I did. Do not plug your Apple device into USB !! Make sure the WIFI hot-spot is turned on in the MMI settings. Pair your Apple device with Bluetooth - it should now ask if you want to enable CarPlay. If it doesn’t, delete the pairing, and connect to the car’s wifi first from the Apple device, and try pairing via Bluetooth again. Mine worked fine first time, and has worked successfully each and every time I’ve entered the car. There's some additional settings for CarPlay under nhtsa_properties, I've not touched any of them, as I have no idea what effect they have. I have a feeling this might also work for the new A8 as well (MLB-2/MLBevo platform). |

I am from US and I purchase 2022 Q3 without NAV package. It was easy for me to activate carplay on my car, I just changed these two settings below and I am able to use wireless carplay in my vehicle without any issue. Hope this will be helpful to anyone who needs to activate wireless carplay on their new 2022 q3.
5F - multimedia module
adaptations
smart phone configuration - apply carplay : off(old) -> on(new)
functional configuration connectivty -> wlan : deactivated(old) -> activate(new)

You’ve completely removed the phone (ie unpaired it) from the car, *and* removed the car from the phone (delete in CarPlay and Bluetooth) ?? Reboot the phone after removing the CarPlay/Bluetooth pairing. Keep the phone away from the car until you are sure all pairing is removed. Then delete any pairing in the MMI. Reboot the MMI. Bring the phone back to the car, and try again. i think the problem is with the region of the car, i tried to reset the car wifi and then i got the message "Due to local laws, your Wi-Fi is being reconfigured." see attached image. is their a way to change the location? Thx  Hello guys, I am having an issue. When i leave my country Kosovo, at the border the mmi gives me this msg “Due to local laws, your Wi-Fi is being reconfigured. This may take a few minutes. Some functions may be restricted afterwards. See owner's manual” And the carplay wifi starts to work perfectly. So when i come back to my home country sometimes i get the same msg and wifi carplay stops working and sometimes it takes 5-6 days and then it stops working. On contrary my friends audis are working perfectly in the same cointry with wifi carplay. Did anyone have this issue? |

I think the problem on the 2711
I had wireless CarPlay working perfectly on 2470
After update to 2711 i losted
It s ask me if i whan t to use CarPlay then nothing happens

Can't seem to activate wireless carplay with 2019 SQ5 in the US. Car has wired carplay and wireless charging, which work fine.
I have made the adaptation changes, but the Connection Manager message indicates "connect a compatible smartphone using the USB port". It does not indicate wireless is an option, so I think something is still off.
I've done the MMI reboot, locked the car for two hours, and confirmed changes were accepted.
Totally stuck, any thoughts?

after the changes my A8 also still comes up with the message to connect the phone to USB. I ignored it and followed the normal procedure to connect a wireless carplay device and it works OK.

It seems that wireless CarPlay is somehow tied to navigation or maybe GPS position. I have recently imported my car from Korea, and I had working wireless CarPlay for about 3 weeks, but cars gps didn’t seem to be working because automatic time zone recognition wasn’t working. One day after 3 weeks I got the error saying that ‘due to local regulations WiFi is reconfigured etc’ and wireless CarPlay stopped working and 5ghz network is not available anymore. Even though in obdeleven I have all 5ghz settings on, and wireless network too. I tried to change many settings regarding location and country codes but so far I have not seen any effect. wired CarPlay still works though. Found a local guy who is willing to fix this by flashing eu maps and eu software, says it will work but I’ll need to send my box to them for couple of weeks which I don’t want to do(
