For the automatic lane change (you activate the turn signal and overtake the car alone and return to the right lane) you must have the side assistant and the 4 sensors of the fenders of the park assist plus. Only then could you code it.

you must have the side assistant Does this mean you need the lights in the mirror which show if there's a car alongside you?

Does the inscription on the plastic of the buttons determine the type of steering wheel? If the steering wheel has the module, does that mean it's capacitive? Please for more information!

Dear all,
I activated TA a long time ago with the instructions of this forum :-D. My ID5 running on version 3.2 works great exept the issue you all hate... Every 15 seconds hold the wheel warning.
I mentioned that when driving slower than aprox 8 km/h, TA doesnt ask for holding the wheel. Does anyone know if we can code the 8 km/h to, for example, 120 km/h :-). In that case we dont need a Captive wheel or Module (AliExpress).
What are your thoughts about it?

I've justed picked up a OBDeleven NextGen and looking forward to activating TA on my Enyag, but it would be nice if I didn't have to touch the steering wheel every 15 seconds...

I also ordered the Hands Off module om AliExress and Will check that at the end of this Month. Will keep you all updated.

Hi all,
Today I installed the AliExpress module and its working absolutly great! I already had activated but keep getting the message to take the wheel. After installing this module no message appears anymore!
Steps I took:
1. Unplug the Horn fuse in the fusebox under the hood. Otherwise it will be a Nice disco :-) 2. Remove the airbag unit from the wheel. 3. Carefully remove the plastic wheel cover with the buttons. 4. Install the module and plug it into the socket which is most to the center of the wheel. The module itself it can be putted omt the bottom of the wheel. 5. Install the plastic and airbag again, install the fuse. 6. Code on the A5 module by “KLR” from not coded to coded (hood needs to be open). 7. Start your cat and thats it!
Now you can Enjoy a hands of the wheel without warnings.

Thank you for that info. Do you have in depth steps on how to remove the airbag and steering wheel buttons please.

Does the Ali Express module only work with a KLR steering wheel? Or does this module also work with a non KLR steering wheel? As I understand it simulates a KLR steering wheel signal - so it works also with the standard steering wheel without KLR? SO you can buy the module OR the capacitive steering wheel - correct?

Correct liam007, it works on both non KLR and KLR Steering Wheels. But if you have the non KLR one (my ID.3 also doesn't have KLR), you have to code it in:
go to A13 and/or A05 and go to long coding and check if "KLR" is set to "coded". If it still doesn't work go to A13 and or A05 and set "capacitve Steering wheel" to "coded" or "installed".
Believe me that coding part is easy. But the Installation is hard, removing the Airbag to get access to the Steering Wheel port is/was hard for me. But if you have experience (I didn't, was my first time), then go for it.
Now that I did it, I am really satisfied with it. It's been in my car for over 9 Months and I never had an issue with it.

I tried installing the module in my Cupra Born, but was unsuccessful. Either I didnt see the right port, or it is non existent on my steering wheel. I have the feb 2024 model. When I took off the buttons on the steering wheel, there was only one port, and it didnt fit the KLR module...Any information appreciated.

Hi prod, was there a port on the left side of the steering wheel (back side)? Is this the new Model year with the updated hardware (4.0/5.0+)?

Hi there, as any of you successfully coded Travel Assist without having the TA button on your steering wheel?
I have an Enyaq that doesn't have the capacitive steering wheel, nor the TA button, I can buy ACC in the Skoda Store but I don't have it yet...
This car is great but it's just missing TA even though it's definitely capable of it !
Thanks guys.

Hi! Has anyone updated the car to 3.7 OTA with the capacitive steering wheel installed (aftermarket with the OBDeleven coding).
As far as I know the coding and adaptations are not removed and don’t cause any issues in the update, but the steering wheel with the KLR can be totally different…
It’s not easy to change to the original steering wheel just for the OTA…
Thanks!!
