And like mentioned earlier, you can also buy passat capacitive steering wheel(3G0419089BQ) and replace the buttons with your current steering wheel buttons. The capacitive control module and base steering wheel is the very same.

At first the steering angle fails, this is normal and has to be relearned in the MEB with a short drive with the car.
The KLR has to be coded in the A5 camera... then the assistants run again.
KLR can also be coded in ACC(13) so that ACC will prepare the car to start by touching the steering wheel when in a queue.

Just did another steering wheel change. Now for my friend with ID4 1st. This time with original passat wheel with bit older touch recognition control module(without that A in the end of part number). Part number for that steering wheel is mentioned earlier posts.
Changing the trimming is fairly easy and doesn't require any special tools but only some patience. And everything works as intended.

It's easy according to an acquaintance who made it, it's 1:1 scale, just remove the rim and insert the buttons of your steering wheel are exactly the same the hole to accommodate them.

I cannot seem to activate it on my id.4 (Pro Life) with the long coding.
The button lights up on the steering wheel, but when I press it, it just activates the adaptive cruise control and lane assist, so the markings on the road stay white and never turn green, I also only see the lane assist symbol on the driver screen, not the travel assist symbol (with the steering wheel in it)
Is there a peace of hardware missing on the Pro Life ? or am I doing something wrong.

To activate Travel Assist you must first activate ACC then press the Travel Assist button.

Hi everyone, yesterday I had my steering wheel changed under warranty for a stitching defect (a small badly sewn thread) I am in the process of negotiating to recover my old second-hand steering wheel but I have to wait 6 months before buying it. recover for me in case VW asks my partner. If someone is interested in 6 months I can sell it to you if you want? Price of the steering wheel new in France is 1100€ but for you it will be almost half price given the small seam defect. (my old steering wheel is from October 2020)

Hello everyone, nice to join you here in this forum.
I got my obdeleven device today so I am very new to it and I have a question I hope you could help me with it.
I own a Chinese ID.4 (ID.4 X Pure +) and it comes without ACC, lane assist nor blind spot but it has front assist and I have the button of the ACC on the steering wheel.
my question here is it possible to enable the ACC as you already did with your German ID4/ID3? if yes can you please help me to do this step by step?

I have been reading posts and have achieved Activating Travel assistance in ID4 Crozz (Chines version) thanks to all, every thing is smooth, i wonder if i can activate this option in the center console unit? at present i can not find in options.
I have to activate / operate from steering Colum only. my code reads as follows:

Travel assist works fine with this coding, you only need to have ACC+Lane Assist for it to work. You have to move the steering wheel every 15 sec. because the steering wheel has to have a capacitive sensor and many cars don't have it. If you want to implement it like the VW one works you have to buy the steering wheel with the touch sensor and code it KLR over FSD. The 15 sg time is stipulated by law in europe. the steering wheel sends a signal to the gateway. This could be solved in a rudimentary way by finding out the code of the signal and using an arduino to send that signal as if it was the steering wheel sending it and so it doesn't give the warning to grab the steering wheel or more rudimentary to do like tesla stick a bottle of water to the steering wheel hahaha. I have a 2022 ID4 Pro Performance Fastlane model with Nordic package, ACC and traffic sign recognition, and 3.0 software. Just ordered ODBelevn pro, and I'm super eager to try it out.
As for coding, doea the code provided earlier in the forum still work for ID4, and only for the A5 module:

I have the same ID.4 fastlane model
only these earlier mentioned changes are needed to activate travel assistant, but without capacitive steering wheel it is not very usable
