Yes and No, The control units that are SFD Protected will not allow you to code, tho others in theory will Based on OBD11 Response you will not have full coding ability till possibly end Q1 2021
World have moved on please check here for current list of coding that has been confirmed as working along with possible coding based on MK3 Code.

Afraid I have not seen any coding for the MK4 but on the assumption the lights (internal and external) are controlled from within control unit 09 i suspect you cant do any coding as that is SFD Protected based on what we have seen so far.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to retrofit anything as of now ?
I’m thinking primarily parking sensors on the front and maybe a reverse camera ....

If you have the tool then you can give it a go and see what control units you can see and make changes to.
I have seen the following control units locked by SFD on a number of different sites
01 - engine electronics - seen this on a couple threads
09 - Electronic central electrics - seen this on a couple threads
19 - Diagnostic interface for data bus - seen this on a couple threads
5F - information electronics 1 - seen this on a couple threads
so if the old coding requires access to any of these control units then I suspect the answer for now is NO.
If the coding does not touch these then its a possibility but so far not seen any coding coming out for general use.

I want to be able to unlock the Advanced Lane Follow Assist. Now it keeps bouncing between the lines, and I want it to just follow the road/lines. the function is available (point_of_intervention, screenshot sample from a VW, but the same on my device), but when coding it, it says failed: Fix this please asap, the OBDeleven is useless now for me

damian you should contact support directly via the in app help function on this sort of issue to get a definitive answer from support (this is a user forum not support forum).
I have spoken to them today and been asked to contact technical support (which i have done) to get confirmation on what can be done on non SFD Impacted control units and will update this thread when I get an answer.
Secondly you should be aware that currently OBD11 Are telling us (users) they are waiting on VAG to provide an interface to support these changes and that VAG Have promised to deliver this by end of March 2021 so I am afraid this will not be done quickly.
You will notice that this is not a specific OBD11 Issue as last time i looked the main competition to OBD11 dO not support coding on latest MQB Platform cars and whilst VCP Do you have to have a GEKO account to make changes so this is an industry wide issue.
One last thought most of the VAG Range of cars now seen to need to have the bonnet open to allow coding have you tried doing that.

@testeronline I was able to enable the function with the hood popped But nothing has changed in the car. I think I have to enable some more features to get the Advanced Lane Follow to work.

Just came back to my car after shopping and noticed a weird thing. When I unlock the car, the led light in the door is red. When I open a door it change back to white. And the same thing happen when I lock the car. Maybe i should try some coding with the hood open 🤔

What coding did you apply to your car then. I would have thought light changes were in Control Unit 09 and not be supported.
And just to double check you do have a MK4 car.

I didn't apply any coding. I think it is a bug in the system. But I just need to wait until they will open up for coding in central electronics. Then I will try to code the LED in the doors. I can also confirm that you need to have the hood open for coding.

Afraid I am not supprised about odd stuff at this stage as it feels like VW Rushed this one out, might be worth chatting with dealers to see if there is a patch upgrade to help with it.
My interest is still around how much information is being passed back to VW (on the SFD Control Units) as it feels like they will have a record of you making changes to car so any warranty claims will be looked at to see if you have made changes.
Thanks for the confirmation on the bonnet

I have succesfully coded the lane assist feature to be off by default, and to not show an annoying orange warning indicator when it is off on my Seat Leon KL. (I had the hood open while coding)

Hi testeronline. I think we have misunderstood each other. I haven't been able to code in 09 central electronics. The confirmation for coding with the hood open was in 13 adaptive cruise control. I deactivated the overtake right prevention.

Do you know if there is a way to upgrade Media system M to XL? Or if it will be such possibility in the future?

What exactly is this? Does this mean there is extra hardware present in the car which might be disabled if the media system is set to M based on software, rather than XL?

I dont know the answer to this question but if its a coding change to control unit 5F then you wont be able to do it unless you have access to different tools that allow support of SFD Coding (VCP and possibly some German dongles but only seen them used on the Golf)

(I had the hood open while coding) Please could you explain more about which module and which setting. Is this the module "A5 Frontsensors for driver assistsystems" " A5 Frontsensoren voor best.assistentiesystemen"?

I have coded the Cupra cockpit view with the central tachometer.
Control units->Dashboard->Adaptation->View Activation
(Not sure about the translation, i use italian version).
In there it let me activate all options without asking for password, and the new layout popped up

I know that in theory it is blocked, i was very surprised indeed. I have used an OBDeleven classic with PRO license from 2018.

Well thats very interesting, If you are feeling kind could you have a look in your live data and see if you have SFD Activation Status and Bonnet_contact_sfd_test.
And whilst being needy, have you tried any other control units to see if they accept changes.
Thanks in advance.

I have report from a few more guys managing to code activation of additional views, that was achieved with ignition on, bonnet open, engine off. Not all Leons have sports dashboard view. So far it was possible only on my2020 models equipped with DCC and progressive steering (Dynamic Pack)

Just to add to this on one of the German forums user with 06/2020 leon but no DCC saying it works for him ok.
As always with these things it can be a number of different items and or how the cars are configured in local countries.
Anyway big thanks for sharing the information.
