I hope you guys figure out this puzzle. Keep in mind that many of us worked on enabling this feature for months with no success. I worked on my 2019 A6 and Q8 for months using a VCDS, VCS, and OBDeleven with no success until I tried the Kufatec dongle. Keep in the mind the dongle is likely doing more than coding and adaptations. When I spoke with one of the owners at Kufatec about this last year, they were manipulating adaptations, coding, and parameterizations in their R&D process. Based on that, and no one getting it working without a dongle yet, I'm "guessing" Kufatec are reparametrizing the A5 and other control units in addition to adaptations and codings to enable the feature.
The guys at Kufatec invest hundreds or thousands of man hours into these retrofits so I didn't have a problem supporting them for their efforts.

Three of us on the last page have it working Somehow I missed that on the last page. I need to check out your final coding to see what we were missing previously out of curiosity. Most of my testing was on the earlier zfas 0291 release, so it would have never worked until I got the 0295 update. I literally plugged in the Kufatec dongle while parked at the dealership after that update.  Congrats guys! |

I don't have errors, but I believe there is some over-coding so I'm going to try to sort that out in the coming days, then will post the final result. Hi, do you still know which changes you did to get it working? I have everything coded like ustolle and greggraves said but it still has some problems... If I have parked the car and want to start the sequence I start it with pressing the "P (steering wheel)"-button, hold the brake and press and hold the P-button... Car is in "D"... I release the brake, but the car won't move... It looks like it doesnt release the brakes... (https://youtu.be/0nl3VMGx5kM) And if I am driving and want to search for a parking I press the "P (steering wheel)" Button, it opens the menue but after a short time it cancels it and says that the "Parkpilot isnt available at the moment" (in german: "Parkilot: zurzeit nicht verfügbar). Anyone any ideas? Update: I have the rear wheel steering. VCDS shows me an error on it in address A5 and the parking pilot... |

Do you have the >>P button installed? Park pilot will not work without it. If so, your coding is missing something, likely in adaptations. What country/equipment do you have?

Yes. Someone wrote me the solution (thx buddy!). Address CB, Byte 02, Bit 7 must be activated, if you have rear wheel steering.

I needed to do that for proper functionality, too. Used it twice today, it's a little gimmicky, but it works so well I may continue using it in some circumstances. Great feature either way

Hi. In flat area there is no problem. Only, when the street is going downhill and if you want to park with IPA backwards at the side (-> the car is driving uphill)

I can get as far as choosing a parking space, the >>P button flashes white and the MMI says something to the effect of "Release the steering wheel and hold the AI button". I press the button, release the brake and the car just creeps forward (like it normally does when in gear). It seems unlikely that the >>P button is a bad part, so we're still a little short on coding... Hi Guys, I have exactly the same problem. I used ustolle coding. Look at greggraves coding too. The adaptations are important. There are so many coding differences between models that it takes comparing a couple of working examples to your own car to make it work. |

Or if you have rear wheels steering then a bit has to be coded in Address CB (i think). zeta127: ACC is not active rear wheel steering. |

Hi folks, I have A6 C8 2021 with 360 cameras and 12 sensors (parking system plus). The car doesn't have ACC. I was able to activate MA on this car, no issue. Plan to order >>P button and try combination of both successful codings from this thread. Am I right that ACC availability is not required for IPA?

I have an A8 2018 with all the options needed, but zfas 0291... And the guys from Audi said that they can't update it until an update is released for my car... |

They always say that. They don’t want to do it as it takes 6 hours.
Mention the technical document earlier in this thread and tell them the updates exist, they do have them, your car has the faults described and you want it done immediately. Also contact audi customer services.
This is what I had to do to cut through the lies and BS.
I payed £7 for a 1 day erwin subscription, downloaded the document then put it on the service managers desk and asked him if he still wanted to tell me it does not exist.

Having some trouble here. Made a little progress using greggraves list in page 7. Issues: I don't see Byte 9 for Module 01. I had a relevant fault in module A5. When I cleared it the button turned white.  I pushed the button, nothing happened and it turned gray. Then I noticed another fault. Everytime I clear it and restart the car, it comes back.  When turned off Module 3C Bit 1 Byte 2, I got a bunch of errors on my dashboard saying all the different assist features were disabled. Module CF Bit 1 Byte 2 is the same thing for the left side. I turned these back on as it didn't seem right to tough. |
