Hallo zusammen,
ich habe in einem anderen Forum gelesen, dass man dies wohl freischalten kann. Hat jemand Erfahrungen und dies bereits getan?
Das ewige anstecken des Kabels an das iPhone nervt so langsam.
1. Informationselektronik 1 2. Anpassungen 3. Fahrzeugfunktionen 4. 5Ghz Wifi und Wireless CarPlay aktivieren
Beste Grüße Michael

I have a 2020 Audi A4 with the Touchscreen MMI. I have been playing around with the OBDEleven settings and have nearly got it working. When going to "Phone Apps" on the MMI, it now asks if you want to connect via the Wifi or USB Cable. When going into Carplay on the phone the phone asks if you want to use CarPlay Wirelessly. When trying to connect wireless it fails stating it cannot connect via Bluetooth, even though it is already connected. There must be a setting somewhere that needs changing but not worked it out yet.
Anyone got any ideas?

If you have 2020 audi, you have to use cubic telekom service, check their website to buy internet data package

Module : 5F. (Information Control Unit)
Adaptation
Vehicle Configuration
MirrorLink = On WiFi_Client_HMI = On Apple_DIO_Wireless = On wlan_5ghz_switch = Activated Apple_DIO = On
Smartphone_interface_for_rhmi : activated Remote_HMI : on
Under installation list DK-1 Systems:

Reboot the MMI
Do not plug your Apple device into USB !!
Make sure the WIFI hot-spot is turned on in the MMI settings.
Pair your Apple device with Bluetooth - it should now ask if you want to enable CarPlay.

Iv'e just got this working on my 2020 A4 touchscreen (without wireless charging) Just looking to put together what options I changed , I don't think everything I changed is required . I'm cautious to change to much back and go through the steps again incase it stops working. The Backup feature for IOS does not seem to correctly backup the values

@han1d (seen you have the same car and year as myself)
OK , after a few week of trying different things , here's what works on my 2020 A4 , use at your own risk :S
This is what I did ,( with weeks in between ). Initially made adaptations to module 5F - (Having found out what I have today , I'm not even sure these need to be made , these were things quoted for previous models of Audi (Non MIB3 ) A3 / A7 / A6 , and some of the settings in the other modules contradict values in this module, so not even sure it is doing any thing with these values )
It seems the key for this is the adaptation in Telematics Module 75 is the key for this (I'm speculating, but it seems the wifi / lte / bluetooth radio settings have mooed to this module for MIB3) I think this should work with A4/S4 , A5/S5 MIB3 models.
Before doing this delete the phone pairing in bluetooth and CarPlay in Audi interface (long hold and delete ) , I also removed the car from my phone bluetooth (again maybe not necessary) Make sure your bonnet / Hood is up/open for changes to take effect .
MODULE 5F
--------------------------------------------------------------- Adaptation Control unit: 5F Multimedia Name: WLAN settings Values: 5_ghz_wlan: Old value: Off New value: On Mileage: 1691 km Date: 2020-07-23 16:55
--------------------------------------------------------------- Adaptation Control unit: 5F Multimedia Name: Smartphone configuration Values: Apple_car_play_wireless: Old value: Off New value: On Mileage: 1691 km Date: 2020-07-23 16:56
--------------------------------------------------------------- Adaptation Control unit: 5F Multimedia Name: function_configuration_connectivity Values: Mirror_link: Old value: Off New value: On Mileage: 1691 km Date: 2020-07-23 16:59
--------------------------------------------------------------- Adaptation Control unit: 5F Multimedia Name: function_configuration_connectivity Values: WIFI_Hotspot_5GHz: Old value: Off New value: On Mileage: 1705 km Date: 2020-07-24 17:01
---------------------------------------------------------------
The following are new changes I found today , after scanning though all the available adaptations , these seem to have made the difference , and I now see the 5ghz network and wireless car play is working (seems too simple) .
MODULE 75 Telematics
Adaptation Control unit: 75 Telematics Name: Emergency call module and communication unit, configuration Values: WLAN 5GHz: Old value: Off New value: On Mileage: 1965 km Date: 2020-08-14 14:54
--------------------------------------------------------------- Adaptation Control unit: 75 Telematics Name: Smartphone configuration Values: Apple CarPlay Wireless: Old value: Off New value: On Mileage: 1965 km Date: 2020-08-14 14:53
---------------------------------------------------------------
Now reboot the MMI , (Long hold on volume / power button , until the mmi starts up again ) Connect to the (hopefully) new SSID network / Hotspot YOURCAR_5ghz (enable hotspot in connection manager/wifi to see this) Pair phone through Audi Smart phone interface bluetooth , it should as if you was to use Carplay
Let me know how it goes ..

Thanks for the info Scoobdriver! Do you have the touchscreen MMI?
How many credits did you use to get this done?

Yes I have touch Screen MMI , I did all adaptations manually so it did not cost any credits.

Thanks again! Last question, does it matter which version of the device I get (starter, pro, ultimate)?

you'd need a pro licence to do manual adaptations

I've tried following the below on an S4 8W however, I can't get to the DK1-Systems menu.
Can confirm that trying to register for data on Audi Connect doesn't work either.
Has anyone had any success?

Quick update. I got my OBDeleven today and followed the instructions as outlined by scoobdriver + also turned on wireless Android Auto because why not When I reset the MMI I saw that now it allows me to add my iPhone for CarPlay on wireless mode with the suggestion that I can also do it via a wired connection. When I try to connect to my car through WiFi I still do not see a 5ghz SSID. I read in other forums that sometimes the car needs to be turned off for a while for some settings to kick in. That is what I am currently doing and will report back on my status in due course. Have a great weekend everyone!

I have read the you have to have the hood opened to accept the new settings (not sure if coding or adaptation). But my changes was accepted without hood opened.

Hi All, I started the car up today and I am happy to report that I now have Wireless Car Play! I opened the hood as per the instructions. Scoobdriver, because of you, the one thing that was keeping me away from loving my car is no longer an issue. I sincerely thank you for sharing your journey with the internet, I will be returning the favor by helping those around me with similar issues (already meeting up with a friend with the same car later today;)).
