Anyone know if it’s possible to disable or modify the hill assist feature on the Golf GTI?
*edit*: hmm people seem to be saying that this is impossible, would love for this to be wrong 😞

Similar to phonostar for European models, is there a way for US vehicles to update Radio Station Data? My part number is 5H0035871

After enabling acceleration measurement (1.1.46) I am getting a dynamic cornering light error. I know it says a basic adjustment to headlight is required, but what does that mean?

*fixed - there is an adaptation call "acknowledge basic settings" that made it go away.

The question is - after coding, did the measurement work? Or does nothing happen when you press START?

Yes it did! I didn't get the chance to get a real 0-60 time, but once I hit start, came to a complete stop it showed that it was ready. As soon as I hit the gas the timer started. For reference I have a 2023 R (but not sure about firmware versions)

I'm interested. This works in all modes or only Race mode

And here is my biweekly disclaimer: Coding 4B will reset all adaptive light settings: *Automatic leveling *Matrix
While automatic leveling could be reset (although in a wrong/unchecked basic level), Matrix will need actual measurements from a tuning device. You can read them from basic settings and re-enter or have them recalibrated at a workshop. Entering bogus values (or all zero) will not correctly enable matrix.

Could you give more information on how to do this? How much of a difference does it make? Did I mess up by doing this? . I'm am in the US if that makes a difference as well.

It makes the difference that you either do it according to the specs and have a decent result or you just fake the correct procedure and are lucky or not.
How this works in a workshop: Auto levelling *Start leveling basic setting. Leveling is reset to a zero position. *Level/Adjust headlights with lightbox and screwdriver. *Aknowledge basic setting =>The car now has a well levelled setting. When the sensor(s) are indicating that the car is loaded or unloaded, the headlight will adjust. There is no "feedback loop" with the camera or something. When it is off, it is off. Pitfalls: When this is done on a non-leveled surface, the lights are still following the car's load, but will always be too high or too low.
You can read the load sensors actual values and basic setting in live data. You could reload the car to match the saved basic setting for this. I expierienced a bug in OBD11 not correctly showing the values, so take care here. There is no way of manually entering these values.
Matrix basic setting: *Start basic setting. "Reference segments" are lit up. *With a matrix capable testing device the vertical offset of these segments is measured *Feed back the positions to the car's tester. No tools needed.
Pitfalls: Everything. There is no way of doing this at home with a best effort strategy.
You can read the offsets from the live data and just write them back in the procedure. Of course, you will need to do this (and write them down) before changing the coding. Make sure the values are correctly saved, as the live data shows 3 representation, but only one is valid for entering.

Thanks for the information!
For the auto leveling, I'm not seeing a basic setting for leveling. Can you tell me which one you are referring to? (is it just "Basic Headlamp setting"?)
For the matrix lights, how would I ask for this to be done at the dealership for them to actually know what I'm talking about? Is this something the dealership can easily do?
I currently have "matrix_head_lamp" disabled to make the error go away for the time being.
