Well, well... the first thread in this board, what an honor 
I started testing the tweaks for the 2011-2015 models...

Many of those don't work as described, the right bytes, bits and adaptation channels have to be identified.
The access to Car Menu is my own humble discovery, I have not seen anyone else speaking of this in any Sharan or Alhambra forum.
My next goal is to activate High Beam Assist, since I have the Hi-res front camera from Lane Assist (and I think Dynamic Light Assist is out of my reach because it needs a more advanced hardware that just Dynamic Cornering Lights).
So far, so good...

Well, well, the first thread in this subforum, what an honor My OBD11 will arrive in a couple of days and I will plug it immediately into my new Sharan 2017. I will start testing the tweaks for the 2011-2016 models (http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/178/coding-adaptations) and see if they work in my 2017. I will post here the ones that work. I just hope there is some more people here with a Sharan 2017, it would be nice not flying solo To be continued... |

Hi Edin, Nice to know that we are two at least at this forum. What equipment do you have in your sharan? I choosed keyless entry, lane assist, rear camera, 4motion, electric folding mirrors and dynamic curve lights. Maybe something more that I don't remember now... I got my OBD11 yesterday and I just came back from testing it while wife and kids are sleeping  I did notice too that there are no OBD11-apps for this model yet, that's a pity, but I think that I prefer the long coding alternative anyway, so I am not so sad for not having any apps. I managed to get the electric mirrors to fold when holding the lock button on the key fob, so I'm pretty proud of myself right now. I'd like them to fold directly without having to hold the button, but anyway this is a good start. They don't either fold when I lock with keyless, I hope it can be done, I'll have to investigate a little. Which functions have you tried? Have you managed to code something? |

Every other vw model has it but just the Sharan seems to be missing it. I have the Composition media with no car-net nor navigation. I'm really pissed off because vw taking away the car menu on the sharan. I really can't imagine why they did that. I asked my dealer and they said it is just that way, but I refuse to believe that, it would be great if it could be activated with OBD11... |

Did they do it before you activated mirror fold? I realized mine do it after activating mirror fold, and I don't think they did it before, but I'm not 100% sure. If I deactivate mirror fold, the window comfort opening remains... I think you need the upgraded front facing camera in the back of the mirror for that. Could you try the access code 31347 in the control unit 09 Central Electrics? It seemed to work for the 2011-2015 Sharan but it is not working for my 2017...

Where do you control the extra heater (timer and so on) in the Multi function display or in the Infotainment? Can you direct start the heater from there or do you have to use the button for that?

How is the rain close working for you? I leave an open window and water the rain sensor but nothing happens... Do you have ignition on or off, car locked or unlocked?
On the other hand I have managed to activate "fan speed in auto mode", I will put the code in the first post.
And I took a wild guess and I got lucky... Could you check your channel 31 in adaptations, control unit 09? I changed from 3 to 5 and now I get 5 flashes when doing comfort turn lights.

Hello . Backup I can make tomorrow. Heating is controlled with MFD display or with remote control. Man can set hour days and weeks to program.

I have a December 2016 alhambra (which is the same as the sharan). Did you try keeping the finger on the door handle (just like when locking the car but without removing the finger once locked)? In my car it will close the windows this way, just like when keeping the button on the key-fob pressed, so maybe it will also fold the mirrors. OTOH, I can open the windows by keeping the unlock button on the remote pressed but they don't open if I keep my hand inside the handle. With the new coding do the mirrors unfolds automatically when starting the car or do you have to unfold them manually? Just like you I have the mib2 with no navi but with full link (and no car button  ) and I'm also interested in unlocking extra features  (tops would be to enable external video, I hate to see such a gorgeous screen wasted, but I think it doesn't even have the hardware for it ), so keep me informed. Oh, and I read in other forums that you can activate the windows closing when rain is detected but it doesn't work in the sharan/alhambra |

But I guess it is just a matter of getting the right bits activated, since it works that way in other VW cars (or at least I think it does...) About the rain close, we have managed to get the menu in the MDF but every time I select the option, it goes back to unselected the next time I turn on the car... Anyway, I can recommend you the OBD11, it's really cool just to get in and look around. And I hope many tweaks will be working for the new Sharan/Alhambra. |

This with rain locks does not really work but with longer hold at the remote control when lock window and roof goes to and exactly as mirror.

Hi Edin, I see in your 5F that traffic sign recognition is activated. Do you have it working in your car? Or have you changed those yourself?
Btw I sent you my A5 backup too, you might want to look at it if you want to activate lane assist.
