2020 models have a new security mechanism called SFD. This is currently not implemented in OBDeleven but will come in the future. I don't know how SFD affects the vehicle connection but i would assume you should be able to read faults. forum.obdeleven.com/thread/8199/post-2020-models-obd11-devicesHave you tried to skip the scan and directly go to the control unit list? Are you using android or IOS?

Have you upgraded to 1.3.1 and do you have an Android phone to see if it works on Android.

It will work with 2020 models and i'm pretty sure you should be able to scan the car.

OK I would personally use the report a bug feature and hopefully support can help because (and not sure if you car is impacted by SFD) you should be able to run a scan as a minimum, no coding is part of the issue but you should be able to see your control units.

As @testeronline said this is most likely a bug. We know that it's not working for you you don't need to repeat that again and again.
Please report it via the app and/or forum.

^^^^ Regarding SFD - yes it is meant to allow reading of the module memory locations that house fault reports. However, if my understanding is correct (and it may not be, given the lack of information currently available)- Software changes are still required to the operating systems in non-ODIS diagnostic devices to be compatible with the new VAG protocols.
So, again if I'm correct - it's not just a matter of plugging-in a previous release software version of OBD11 that worked on pre-SFD cars and expect it to work on SFD cars to produce scan reports - changes are still needed!!
As to the lack of a public notice about the compatibility of OBD11 devices with MY20 and post-MY20 vehicles (prospective buyers of new devices need to look in my thread to discover this limitation, which is less than ideal IMO) - that's a matter for wiser minds and more powerful decision makers to make. Personally, I don't know if this problem can be resolved, but there are ethical, technical and financial loss issues with this issue for those who purchased OBD11 devices for newer vehicles and for VOLTAS.
However. as with most commercial transactions, there now exists a huge information asymmetry between new buyers and the seller - it's this aspect of the current ODB11 commercial environment that is crucial at this time.
Again, as I have pleaded in previous places on this forum, SFD IS becoming more important as the days in 2020 pass. So, without wanting to be a nuisance, I repeat the suggestion that more information is needed in the public domain to educate users - please.
Don
