but this is where there is a unique change for the atlas:
once i went back to module 09 and changed the "fernlicht_assistent-Erweiterte_Fernlichsteurung" to AFS:FLA: Fernlicht ueber AFS
then it works. Changed the menu on the infotainment screen and now when the light control switch is set to auto, the lights do not come on in daylight. I blocked the camera (with dark paper) and headlights automatically came on, and when i flick the high-beam stalk forward, i get the logo on the MFD in the dash (looks like headlight with "A" in middle: will upload img later)

Adaptive lane tracking (vehicle follows center line vs. "ping-ponging" off edges of lane. Allows this function to be turned on/off in infotainment assistance systems menu. When off, vehicle defaults to original "ping-pong" function:

Quick update you can now buy a stop start memory module ( example ) so for those users who's car always defaults to on by fitting the module it goes back to where you had it last set, some of the newer cars have this fitted from the factory.

"5 brake-light mod" - uses inner tails as brake lights in addition to outers and high-mount third light (this is for 2018 non-LED tails). All brake light intensity set to 127 (don't have to do this, default is "100" so if that's ok with you, no need to change channels 20 and 21):
