I was about to do some simple (I tought) adaptions of rear lights. But I failed. Problem: Function cannot be performed, incorrect diagnostic mode. Which mode is the correct mode? Why do I get this error message? I have done adaptions before without this kind of error message. Has there been some kind of crippling update? I have an old liftetime PRO VAG plan. Car info: VIN: WVWZZZAUZHP544946 Car: Year: 2017 Body type: Variant Engine: CUNA kW ( hp) l Mileage: 103311 km Module info: 09 Central Electrics System description: BCM PQ37BOSCH Software number: 5Q0937086AK Software version: 0162 Hardware number: 5Q0937086AK Hardware version: 028 Serial number: 865804101601FY Backup name: Central Electrics Long coding:00021A46C24122FB4BE44000001C07281400000000000000000000000000 I go to Control units, Adaption, scroll to "Leuchte20BR LA71", change from "Nicht activ" to "Tagfahrlich", perform slide to write, gives error "Function cannot be performed, incorrect diagnostic mode".     |

Hello I wanted to do some adaptations / long coding to my 2016 mk7 GTI
Can someone guide me with the how to?
Things I wanted to activate:-
- Fogs With Flash to pass
- Footwell with turn signal
- Emergency break lights
- Performance monitor
- Lock/Unlock acoustic conformation
- Removing the warning when exceeding 120kmph
I know most of these have one click apps but I would like support with coding these rather than spending more money

Hello, I upgraded to MI2 last year and swapped out the radio for the 8inch but I ended up loosing the light control sliders for the footwell and the door led. I was wondering if someone knows how to add those back? thanks

Depends if you have background lighting or not,
But that coding is in the central electronics module (09) not the radio (5f) module
So first I’d look in settings to see if there’s a background lighting, then I’d look in 5f-adaptions-Interior light, light configuration and check the footwell and door lights are “installed” in there (remember the descriptions will be in German
