ivrisconsvltvs : As a general response to your broad question, the short answer is YES. However, both the MIB and the Dashboard module are part of the car's Component Protection (CP) "constellation". This means that a change of either of these modules will result in a CP error, which will seriously impact the operation of the new modules. To officially deal with CP errors, a software link is needed with the IT servers on the VW mother-ship. Only registered agents have this IT link!! That said, it is possible to buy MIB units that have been hacked to deal with CP errors - I make no comment about these modules. Also, changing the dashboard module to AID is not a trivial exercise (it can result in the loss of long-code on the Brake module)- I suggest that you research this retrofit before starting the project. I have a question about the mk7 headlights. Currently my golf has the xenon headlights with the chrome U and the DRLs on the inside of the unit. The glass of the headlights is pretty rough and i tried a polish but it didn't do much to make them look better. Due to their age the plastic glass has micro cracks and is not really clear anymore. I would like to change my headlights with the newer of better version, the one where the DRLs are the U around the bulbs (either the normal one with the outer U only, or the R line version with both U lights). Will i be able to just take out my lights and put in the new ones and that's it? Will it be plug & play or do i have to do some extra coding and adaptations?
Also, there is no way to change the inner U DRL to light up if the headlight is not the R line version, right?

Hello!
The led ‘U’ drl version headlight has adaptive lightning. Your car does not support that. Don’t know if there is a wat to code them error-free. Retrofitting the adaptive lighting option seems like a lot of work.
The double ‘U’ in the R headlight is all hardware, there is no way to make them work in other headlight without opening it and installing leds inside.
Maybe an aftermakter headlight is something te look at?
(Personaly like the looks of the Osram full led headlight)

My car has the xenon lights and when i start the headlights they go up then down into position. Is that the adaptive lighting? It also has a tickbox in the center screen that says something about headlights adapting to rain (don't remember exactly how it is written). Does that mean it has adaptive lighting? Or is that something totally different?

What i mean is that the lightbeam turns when you steer the car.
When you start the car, the xenon goes down - sideways- back to the centre- up.
Yours does not move when you steer the car.
The rain light (when activated) is that when it rains and your wipers are set to automatic (using the rainsensor) it also activates your lowbeam

You know mirrorlink was discontinued a couple of years back right? So you’d need a old Samsung with old firmware to get it to work, then you’d need to enable the CarPlay/mirrorlink/android auto (which obdeleven can’t do)

Hi everyone! I just purchased a used 4-door Automatic 2016 GTI Autobahn (w/ Performance Pkg) in the USA. I'm facing an issue with the vehicle's drive mode button not working.
The problem is that the button illuminates when pressed, but it doesn't actually change the drive mode. I've already consulted the dealer, but they're unable to figure out the cause. They mentioned that the button worked fine in a different 2016 GTI, and they also checked the wiring in my car, which seems to be in good condition. Their suggestion is to replace the J519 module, which might potentially resolve the issue.
However, I'm wondering if there's a possibility of an adaptation being the culprit here. Is it worth checking for any specific codes using obdeleven to potentially restore the function of the drive mode button?
I would greatly appreciate any help thank you!

none of them. Driving mode FEC/SWaP is stored in gateway, not in MIB (5F unit) and you can not check it from the MIB hidden menu.

Previous owner had coding urban joke mode on the taillights. I want it back to the normal phase. Dynamic mode or not dosen´t matter for me. How will i proceed?

I could guess the missing settings - but I know from bitter experience that guessing is a futile way of proceeding with these questions
So - try again, please (after taking a screenshot, scroll-down and repeat until the complete 19 x channels are shown - you will probably need 2, or 3 separate pictures per Leuchte-set)

hello
I have installed all the hardware required and done all the wirings according to wiring diagram for the PTC supplementary heater.
I tried to activate via VCDS , I managed to show to HVAC the option also when activate the car raises the rpm on idle but PTC doesn't work.
Can someone help me how to properly activate PTC heater with VCDS
