Late 2016 Tiguan 2L diesel. Got differential pressure sensor error code and orange check engine light. Validated issue with separate android app (vag dpf) which showed no differential pressure reading. Checked hoses and replaced sensor with genuine VW part. Reset error code. Checked with app vag dpf and now a differential pressure is showing when revved (26 versus fixed 4 before)
I found this old thread on how to tell the car the sensor has changed as the new sensor may have slightly different readings

Basic Setting
Select Adaptation of diff. pressure sensor particulate filter
activate the Basic Setting.
Select Resetting of learned values of difference pressure sensor
