Hey guys,
As many as you know, on almost every VAG car from 2011 you can turn on Scandinavian DRLs, which means that your rear tail lights will also light up when you turn on the DRL, however, this also means that the license plate lights and the interior lights will turn on, and I didn't want that.
Two years ago, I had a Seat Leon 5F before having my Golf GTI 2013 and I wanted to do the same codings I had on that car (thanks to ClubSeatLeon for hooking me up), but couldn't find any for the Golf that worked, so after some hours of investigating and some testing, I've managed to crack them out.
The result should be something like this:
So, here is the coding for the LED tail lights:
Leuchte20BR LA71:
Lichtfunktion E20 - Tagfahrlicht
Dimmwert EF20 - 30 (Can be whatever you want, I like it at 30 brightness, maximum 127)
Leuchte21BR RC8:
Lichtfunktion E21 - Tagfahrlicht
Dimmwert EF21 - 30 (Set to whatever you want, maximum 127)
Now you should have both exterior tail lights on, in every guide I've looked online it says that you also need to do the same on Leuchte23SL HLC10 and Leuchte24SL HRA65, however, this didn't seem to work for my model, as the "Leuchtes" that I had to turn on for the interior tail lights to light up was:
Leuchte27NSL RC6:
Lichtfunktion D27 - Tagfahrlicht
Dimmwert CD27 - 30 (Whatever you want, maximum 127)
And that way you should have it just like on the picture. Double check that when you press the brake it lights up more to indicate that you are braking.
Also I realized that when you brake, only the exterior lights came up, and I wanted also the interior lights to turn on, so I did some digging and I've made them work also as brake lights, that way when you brake both will come up, at the same intensity as the exterior tail lights:
Leuchte 27NSL RC6:
Lichtfunktion E27 - Brake light
Dimmwert EF27 - 100 (Same value as Leuchte20BR LA71, maximum 127)
Dimming direction EF27 - Maximize (should be like that stock)
