Hi guys I noticed that some mk7 have the free wheel system when you stop accelerating the car in plane or down, the engine relieves the rotation... Here in my country this technology is usually present in cars manufactured in 2013/2014 made in Germany. .. Is there any programming to enable/disable this function in other years 2015>2017? dv52 (Australia) Do you know about this function? best regards!!

In answering questions on this forum, I often have a problem with terminology - not surprising I guess, given that questions come from all parts of this fragile blue planet and local usage of words differs. So, if by the term "free-wheeling", you mean "sailing", or "coasting" - then a bunch of us had a conversation about this function HERE.
In the dialogue, OP wanted "sailing" to be disabled, but in your case, you want the opposite - so try setting Byte12, Bit 2 on the Gateway module ( @address hex19).
Of course, in activating this software switch, the function will only be enabled if the firmware in the hex19 module has the necessary smarts . This depends entirely on the software version in the module. I don't have a list of which SW versions have this function - alas

Don The sequence is already active but the car doesn't do the feature, I saw it working on a German GTI mk7 2014 from a friend... Apparently my car doesn't support the function... thanks man!

rafaelsgon : hmm.......... OK, I guess your observation is not surprising - why wouldn't the car have the feature enabled if the smarts was in the factory-set software? A further option that you might try (although I don't think that it will help) is checking the long-code string on the ACC module (assuming that your car is fitted with ACC) Byte11, Bits 6-7 of the hex 13 module (Auto Dist Reg) relates to the "sailing" function and the module has a channel called Sail function

Don
In Brazil, they say that GTIs manufactured here from 2017 to 2019 do not have this feature… Despite being enabled as you saw… yes, my 2017 gti has ACC… As soon as possible I’ll try this other information… Let you know
Thanks man!! 🤙

dv52 (Australia)Don, There isn't Byte11 in Hex13 in my car... I tested the car with ACC deactivated in economy mode and it doesn't really work, nothing appears on the dashboard.... my long code for HEX13 > 00 0C 12 00 FE 07 39 my long code for HEX19 > 03 01 00 04 7F 08 59 00 FB 00 02 7E 1C 0F 00 01 00 01 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Thanks man!!!

hmm OK - it must be because of the part number of your hex13 module. I used PN5Q0-907-572 for my advice (long-code below)
BITS 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 Byte HEX 00 35 0 0 1 1 0 1 0 1 01 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 02 E7 1 1 1 0 0 1 1 1 03 41 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 04 1D 0 0 0 1 1 1 0 1 05 FF 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 06 C4 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 07 28 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 08 94 1 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 09 9C 1 0 0 1 1 1 0 0 10 80 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 11 55 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 1 12 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 13 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 14 26 0 0 1 0 0 1 1 0

Rafael: Yes, our hex13 modules both have the same Part Number - but my module has software version 5Q0-907-572- G and your module has 5Q0-907-572- D. I have no idea what the functional difference is between the datasets in the two SW versions, but clearly "free-wheeling" is one of the added features. Maybe discuss with a dealer (OBD11 can't be used to update the SW version)?
