Hi,
I’ve got the new generation obdeleven pro and I’m trying to get my navigation to display on my virtual dash like my mk7.5 did, please can some advise or tell me how to do it, I have have discover media

Hi Nathan if you can share a scan without the vin we can better understand what is installed in the car , because VW has changed in the last year control unit hardware and versions.

Do a full backup of your car (from main car menu select full backup)
From your history you can then email the backup file to yourself.
If you dont want to share your VIN Number then just do a search for VIN in the file and remove the number.

You need to do a full backup scan: From the mycar main menu scroll down and select the function Full Backup, enter a name for the file and wait 15-30 minutes for the backup scan to complete.

thanks for the reply, i tried that and nothing happened, it stayed on 0% and did nothing, was out there for around an hour, also i had a play and managed to get view activation up, i changed them all to active and got 1 new view but the navigation view is nowhere to be seen, on other options in the coding menu it needed a code which i don't have

What sw version is your infotainment system (5F)?
It is either 16xx or 17xx.
Also do you have the Discovery Media or Pro?

It’s 1688 and I have discover media according to we connect when I checked online, how do I tell the difference between the 2? She went in for a software update recently so should be all good

If you press the view button (on the right side of the steering wheel) each time until you circle back to the view you started with do you get the map view?
If not yhen you have the media and because you are on 16xx you dont have the maps on the dashboard.
But it is possible to get it coded but you will need someone to unlock the sfd on the 5F infotanment unit.

hi thanks for the reply, in that case then yes i have discover media, would you possibly be able to do it for me or guide me on how to do it? or do you know anyone who could do it for me? were going on holiday on the 20th April so would really appreciate having it done by then as then my miss's plays with the discover media while I use maps on dash lol

I don't know anyone that can do it for you. you need to find a vag coder , someone that can code the car. Then also if he is willing to mod it...

Do you have the 3 little lines in the map screen? The ones where you can change the map lighting to auto on or off. If so it should be in there and say some thing like switch map screens??
