Hey Guys! I'm new to this site and live in Denmark, so in advance i apologize for my grammar
I've just bought a new pair of headlights from my local store (not OEM) It's the ones that look like the facelifted ones on the 7.5 model. Now my problem is, I can't seem to work arround enabling the LED's when i turn on low beam. I've tried for 2 days straight now, and completly lost hope on how to fix this. It seems to run fine until I turn on the low beam. DRL, blinkers and everything.
And I have VCDS
Thanks!

berbmkvii: Hi. Ain't nothing wrong with your English grammar - it's much better than my Danish!
The big issue with aftermarket headlights is that they vary greatly between manufacturers, so the problems that can result from their installation can be caused by many things! And - whilst I note that your fittings are "not OEM" - most (ALL?) aftermarket fittings are "not OEM" regardless of the manufacturer's claims IMO! I need more information about your situation: - I could assume that your original light fittings were incandescent, but they could have been HID. Which were they?
- What (if any) coding changes did you make after the physical install? Please be specific when describing these changes.
- Are there any errors reported on the dashboard and/or are there any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) reported on the scan reports? Again, please be accurate when describing these fault records
- When you installed the new LED fittings, was there a mismatch in the number of pins on the connectors (i.e. between the car loom connector and the connectors on the new fittings). If so, how did you solve this problem - did you swap pins, or did you install a cross wiring harness?
- What happens when the LDS (rotary light switch) is set to the Parking Light position?
- What model car is this and is the car fitted with a Rain Light Sensor (i.e. does the LDS have an AUTO position)? If so, what happens in the AUTO position?
- Clearly the cause of your problem could be either in the car, or it could be in the new fittings. Have you asked the manufacturer of the new fittings about the error that you have observed? If so, what was their response. If not, please do so.

Hi Don! Good to hear danish is'nt easy, I would run far away if i had to learn our grammar and language Hmm yeah I would imagine there is a great difference in the build on the headlights! These are from KITT, and I have tried reaching out both the manufacturer and local seller. And they can't help with any solution. Link to headlights www.carpartstuning.com/led-headlights-suitable-for-vw-golf-7-vii-2012-2017-facelift-g75-gti-look-with-sequential-dynamic-turning-lights-hlvwg7fr/5993637-1/I will try to answer the qeustions, but I have to get back to you again with the rest, because my car right now is being serviced. I. It's the standard halogen (incandescent) ones. No HID mounted. II. I was using your guide on the page i linked to, but no visual changes were aplyed, so I changed them back again. And i've also tried to alter the DRL channels without luck. III. No not a single one IV. It's plug and play, but again, i will try to solve if theres any missing/misplaced pins to the headlight and connector when i get my car back. V. It dims the LED down to 35%, and when I rotate it to low beam they just simply disappear VI. It's an 2015 Golf MK7 estate highline, with rain sensor and yes in auto it just addapt to the light (etc. when driving on a sunny day, the DRL lights up and in the night time turns the low beam automatically) VII. I've tried a long time before turning to code it. I also tried on a danish VAG forum. And no help to find. I'm getting really frustrated
P.s in the EU we have a different light setup, and that's why i suspect your guide in earlier mentioned link is'nt working for me
Regards Magnus

Magnus: hi. I guess we should start by looking at how the DRL Leuchte-sets are programmed. I only need to look at one side of the car. When you get the car back, post-up the complete Leuchte-set (meaning the complete 19 x channels) for Leuchte4TFL LB4
