Hi
Trying activate driving school mode on UK car with app and get noticed supported message. Any idea how can I get it working without app?

- Select Adaptation (no security access code needed for this tweak)
- Search for Vehicle function list CAN
- Select Driving_school and change setting to available
- Search for Vehicle menu operation
- Select menu_ display_ driving_ school and change setting to activated
- Select menu _display _driving _school _over _threshold _high and change setting to activated
- Exit the OBD software and reset the MIB unit: Press and hold-in the ON/OFF button until the screen in the head-unit turns-off and then turns-on again (about 10 seconds) - thanks marklaxton993
Here is a picture of the Driving School screen  As can be seen, the Driving-School-Mode screen displays the car's prevailing speed (duplicate of the speedometer) and the operation of the turn indicators. Also shown here is accumulated information since DSM was selected (i.e. a learning-to-drive pupil's distance traveled, elapsed time, average speed and average fuel efficiency). These historic values reset every time that the engine is switched off. Don |

I tried this morning, followed instructions and all went well with activation. Only after coding I didn't see school mode appeared in menu. Anyway thought restart of head unit needed. To my surprise, I couldn't turn radio off, even after removing keys from ignition or manual turning radio off, it wouldn't respond at all. After changing settings back to original all worked again. Very puzzled now

I also tried this today and found if pressed in the radio on off switch for about 20 sec it went off and reset it self and came back on with driving school mode

I also tried this today and found if pressed in the radio on off switch for about 20 sec it went off and reset it self and came back on with driving school mode Mark: Hi The original MIBI units didn't need to be reset for the DSM tweak - guess something has changed with MIBII. But it's easy to do, so not a great hassle -I hope
I will add your suggestion to my instructions for the benefit of future folk
