Anyone know why there is no one click app for ambient light 30 colours on the passat b8 gte (2018)
I tried on my partners golf 7.5 which has the same radio/5f unit and there is an app OK for it.

Infotainment system is irrelevant. Coding is done within module 09-BCM.

mr-fix I have managed to add them 30 colours in 09 module. Do you know why it's only working on media, but not on doors and foot? If I had/have white led strips on doors, this is the answer? I also coded LIN and LIN2 in BAP with 30 colors...but no luck.

If you have white ambient light, then most likely you have white LEDs installed, not RGB modules.

If I want to change the LEDs, does it require more then the trims with rgb LEDs? Any module or something

Not sure what are the differences between white and RGB setup in Passat B8.
In Golf MK7 there's no factory option for RGB. But you can still retrofit it using parts from Passat B8. Additional wiring to BCM, coding. Sometimes BCM needs to be upgraded.
