Here is my desperate attempt at getting some help!
I have an S4 B6 manual that has a whole host of issues.
2004 Model 8E, Located in Charlotte, NC
At the moment I am trying to fix the speedometer which I believe is not working due to the abs module not being coded properly.
At the moment the soft coding is reading 00000
I believe this a Bosch 5.7 Module, it's my best guess...
What I understand is that I need to login>softcode>enter login 40168>basic settings steering angle
My PR-Code sticker is missing so i figured there's only a few combinations, pretty sure I don't have brembos... (later realized only the brembo combo worked)
Brembo - login - 09295 - code - 04595
FN3 16" - login - 09395 - code - 04495
HP2 16" - login - 09495 - code - 04395
FNR 16" - login - 09495 - code - 04395
FN3 15" - login - 09595 - code - 04295
c54 - login - 09696 - code - 04195
However, after trying all the login codes, only the brembo combo worked. I was able to succesfully write the 04959 code to the module.
So I proceeded to the next step - turn steering wheel - I turned it 180 degrees both ways to make sure (also tried various combinations of turning the steering wheel, only left, only right, both ways all the way, both only 90, everything)
Then went into basic settings 001 to try to activate g85 Calibration it says "Error: Function not available" in the dialog box in the app.
I feel like I'm one step away from getting this done. Now I'm not sure what's going.
In module 3 (brakes) group 005 live data, I see the steering sensor bouncing around from 0 to -2.5 degrees.
In module 3 (brakes) group 001 live data, when I drive around the wheel speed sensors are reading values. So at least somethings working.
Not sure what to try next. Not sure if this is related but I can't seem to read a lot of the other modules, IE. 11 Engine control module 2 (01 ECM 1 works), 016 steering column, 09 central electrics. Could another module be failing?
I know the abs module was replaced by the previous owner. He never got it working. Maybe he didn't know he had to code it? Maybe he tried?
Is there a possibility he tried to code it starting with the Brembo combo and now it's only letting me log in with that combo but it's not the correct one for my setup? Nowhere on my brakes does it say brembo, but they do look big and have drilled/slotted rotors.
I'm kind of lost at this point, If anyone can help me out, I'd literally send you money for saving me from this hell
