I have an Android OBD11 Pro and have made numerous mods to mt Golf which all appear in the App History. I also have 200 Credits. I purchased an OBD11 NExtGen Pro and am preparing to initialize it but have some questions.
I get that all my Android OBD11 Pro modification history and credits are tied to my account that is linked to the device. However, I am planning on activating the new OBD11 NExtGen Pro with another account (e-mail) so I can resell the old one. Questions.. 1. If I create a new account and activate the new NEXTGEN device, is there any way to import/transfer my car's History and App Credits from the old ANDROID device? If the answer is NO to the above, I'm assuming these will be transferred to the neW ANDROID device owner.
2. I. updated my old Android device's email to a disposable address in preparation for the sale. How do I remove my car's HISTORY and Credits from old device before shipping to new owner - is that the DELETE ACCOUNT in my profile? If I DELETE ACCOUNT, will I be able to set it up again with the old Dongle's activation code?
This is really more difficult than it should be!

Ok let me recap your situation.
You have: - Firstgen dongle with Pro license, credits etc
You bought: - Nextgen dongle with Pro license, credits
You want: - Sell firstgen dongle with pro account
Since the pro license of the nextgen device is no code anymore it's a bit more work. You can create a new account and activate the nextgen pro license there. => Sell firstgen dongle with that new created account.
You can keep your "old" pro account with your credits and history and just start using your new dongle.
FYI: Your app account is NOT chained to any dongle! You can use multiple dongles with your app account.
Question: Why have you bought another pro version if you already have pro?

"Question: Why have you bought another pro version if you already have pro?" - CHANGED PLATFORM FROM ANDROID TO iOS ASSUMED I NEEDED TO UPDATE - Will the old ANDROID dongle work with iOS as well?

It depends on the package you buy if you get credits or not. Yes you're right the firstgen dongle only works with android. Nextgen dongle works with android and ios. So no your firstgen dongle will not work with ios BUT your pro account will! => App account can be used across platforms Do you still have any questions?

Okay, I’ve got that but if I use my existing account to activate the NextGen device, I’ll have 2 devices on my account - Old Android device and new IOS device. How would I remove the Android device from my account to resell it?

If we keep it simple.
The Pro license on your account means you can talk to any car with any device (provided you know the 6 digit pin code for the dongle) and code
So you can sell the old Android device and you have nothing to do apart from telling the new owner what the 6 digit passcode is.
If you want to sell the pro license then you need to sell the account as well and new owner will have to change the details.

And that would also transfer my HISTORY and CREDITS to the new owner, correct?
So if I send the new owner the dongle, device code and activation code for the Dongle, they can register a new acct, right?

Yes you will give the history and any credits if you send the account to new buyer,
Activation code is for PRO Account and if it has not been used before then you can give that but if it has been used thats it. It cant be used again I am afraid.

Okay. I did it. Created a new acct for the old Android and added the old dongle using the existing PIN. My credits and history were not displayed and I scanned the car successfully. Shutdown and removed old Android dongle.
Connected the new NextGen dongle and logged in using my existing acct. Found the new dongle and I set the PIN. Did a scan and all history & credits are there as expected.
So, when I sell the old Android dongle, all I need to provide is the PIN. The new owner can create an account Or change the password on my old existing account.
