Trying for a week to connect the obd11 (white) to my new gen 2018 Polo. No success, tried almost everything from the forum. The light lights red, so I guess the device is working, but any time I try to pair shows 'Incorrect Pin' although never asked or inserted any pin. Don't know what else to do, sent a question to OBD on Monday but nothing received so far. They must be busy with numerous cases like mine!

What exactly do you mean with paring? Via the phones bluetooth settings or the OBDeleven app?
You don't need to pair it with via your phones bluetooth settings. Just open the app and press connect once you've inserted the dongle into the OBD-port and turned the ignition on. If it's not showing a dialog with bluetooth devices go to Device and try to add it there first.
Is the led blinking or solid red?

Thanks for reverting. The red light is solid. Followed the steps and still shows 'incorrect pin' and does not pair. I uninstalled the app and installed it again. Turned on ignition and app, it showed 'pls log in' did so (when first plugged the module I was asked to create an account), then 'connect' found the obd from the list, was asked to pair., I did and again showed 'incorrect pin'.

Seems that no matter what cannot connect, always shows 'incorrect pin' although never inserted a pin. I think its about time to be returned as I have requested help from the co but never got a reply, this is unacceptable!

Although you can connect to the dongle without pairing it has always been recommended to pair the device first, it speeds up the initial connection alot and makes it far less flakey.

Somehow I finally got it working!!!! Deleted some, added location (gps) through the dongle (which was off), paired it without the car on, was actually now asked and created password and voila, it is alive, scanned found two faults, erased them and first thing i did was to permanently disable the start/stop which was getting on my nerves from day 1. That alone was worth the trouble!
