Hi everyone! I am trying to figure out how to activate hill hold on my Kamiq - MY2020. I was searching the web for any kind of information on performing such a procedure on other MQB A0 vehicles (Ibiza, Arona, T-Cross, Scala, Polo), however I did not have any luck finding coding descriptions for 2Q0 614 517 AP (or similar) which is installed in my car. Has anyone successfully activated this feature on a Kamiq (or any other MQB A0 vehicle)? Can you share with us how to do it? Really do not want to code the ABS unity blindly without knowing the right bits and bytes. I would also be happy if anyone of you owning a Kamiq with factory enabled hill hold can share its ABS coding? Even that is a valid starting point. Tnx in advance!

To activate Hill hold assistant for MQB platform do the following:
1) Select CU 03 Brakes 2) Select coding 3) Go to Byte 25 4) Tick Bit 0 and 1
To adjust the hold time:
1) Select CU 03 Brakes 2) Select Adaptation 3) Select Channel "Berganfahrassistent" 4) Choose the value you would like to have. There should be Früh, Normal and Spät(Early, normal, late)

Indeed this is the proper coding for MQB platform (Octavia MkIII, Golf VII, Leon, etc.), which is in the latest production years using 46 byte long coding in ABS modules. However ABS module in Scala/Kamiq (MQB A0 platform) are newer units (2Q0 614 517 AP) which have a massive 58 byte long coding, and I am not sure if this coding applies to this new units also. If someone of you is brave enough to try, please share your experience with us. I personally think that the safest way is c omparing the codings from our Kamiqs with another unit from Scala/Kamiq that has hill holding activated from the factory. At least this is the route I am choosing before coding my car blindly (and potentially messing up brake system in my car).

I can share the ABS module information for Kamiq WITHOUT hill hold assist activated.
HW: 2Q0614517N SW: 0262
Long coding: B1108B643D498DB4D101BC1A12DE11A64976AD06224A24484C54125545488865926EB56044522412322A48AAA249D60B3F926BD0FCB0AC500D350A
If someone si prepared to share ABS coding with activated hill assist that would be awesome.

So if we take a closer look to the codings of our cars: Without HH - blututh's car B1 10 8B 64 3D 49 B4 D1 01 BC 1A 12 DE 11 A6 49 76 AD 06 22 4A 24 48 4C 54 12 55 45 48 88 65 92 6E B5 60 44 52 24 12 32 2A 48 AA A2 49 D6 0B 3F 92 6B D0 FC B0 AC 50 0D 35 0A Without HH - peta2020's car B1 10 8C 64 3D 45 B2 31 FD BC 1D 12 DD 11 A6 49 76 AD 06 22 4A 24 48 4C 54 12 55 45 48 88 65 92 6E B5 60 44 52 24 12 32 2A 48 AA A2 49 D7 0B 3F 92 EB D0 FC B0 AC 50 0D 35 0A With HH enabled - fred4009's car B1 10 8C 64 3D 45 B3 31 01 BC 19 12 DE 11 A6 49 76 AD 06 22 4A 24 48 4C 54 12 55 45 48 88 65 92 6E B5 60 44 52 24 12 32 2A 48 AA A2 49 D7 4B 3D 92 EB D2 BC B0 AC 50 0D 35 0A So this means that we should try to activate: byte 47 - bit 6and/ orbyte 51 - bit 1If anyone else has a different opinion, please share! Also it would be great if we can have two long codings of cars with HH enabled for comparison. So if you do not mind sharing your ABS long coding, please share with us!

Tnx blututh! But do not get too excited just yet! I have noticed that fred4009's Kamiq is on ABS software version 2Q0614517 AL but mine is on software version 2Q0614517 AP (and I do not know the version in your car blututh?) It is possible that Skoda is using different codings between different software versions. For example VW T-Cross is using the same HW unit as our's Kamiqs do (2Q0614517N), but is flashed whith different (older) software version 2Q0614517 AF which is using shorter - 52 bytes long coding. It would be really helpful to get the coding of Kamiq with hill holding enabled which is on the same software version - 2Q0614517 APBtw, ABS coding in Kamiq/Scala is completely binary mirrored among bytes -> check attached Excel file and color matching bytes We can almost certainly conclude that the key to enabling hill hold is not in a single bit/byte!Attachments:ABS decoding.xlsx (16.91 KB)

Once again, if you are reading this thread and you own a Kamiq or Scala (with or without hill hold), and you are willing to share its ABS coding, please post the coding here with the information below:
Is it Scala or Kamiq? Is hill hold activated? Manual or DSG? (all DSGs are equipped with hill hold) Hardware number of ABS unit Software number of ABS unit Engine type and horsepower
You will help us a lot!

Are there any news about this?
I have a Scala, Style equpment 2019, 1.0. 115hp, 6MT without Hill Hold. I'll try to get obdeleven to help you because i really miss this feature. I had it on all of my previous cars, but not my Scala. :/
I actually asked official Skoda service but they checked and said that i have completely different brake modules than a Scala with integrated Hill Hold from factory and its not possible to activate it. :/

Hope it helps

since it seems that user scalastyle posted the solution for long coding can the one-click apps team create the relevant app for scala and kamiq ? (as far as i know they are totally same cars from the electronic side perspective)
it is really useful
