Hello, So this app is not very intuitive! So I have the language & databases set to english, but when i go into the long coding for the steering column i get this: So i have to go to google to translate the text in this App? WHY? And what do they even mean, like this one: 34 Rastendes fernlicht bei tastendem hebel Google translate: Latching high beam when the lever is groping or this one: 09 schlechtwege-Entprellung des signalhorn Google translate: bad-way detonation of the horn Come on!

The description data is in german because vag is a german company. As far as i know they don't provide labels in other languages.
Translating it wouldn't make that much sense because everyone is working with the german descriptions. I'm glad they don't auto-translate the labels.

Just to add to Thirsty i would agree as these codes are used across many different software applications it would be very difficult to share if we did not all use the same output and as a non German you get used to understanding these codes very quickly. Secondly when you go to Long Coding you may have two options (at the top of the screen there is a 0 and 1) from memory the items you see in the 0 view are those values stored on the ECU by the manufacturer but if you select 1 then you see the Byte and Bit view and here you can see the descriptions in your database language along with other languages if you so desire. But (and its a big but) it requires the User community to update the descriptions if users dont do it then you will not see any descriptions.

I don't disagree with any of you. However, I think it would be reasonable to expect that there be some means to looking up the labels and what they correspond to. The product seems pretty great, but the lack of documentation is really disappointing.
