Hi, i need a little help with something that i can't figure it out. I'm trying to do an throttle body adaptation alignment but when i go to basic settings i get "not active" like you see in the picture and if i try to do anything i get the error "(13) Function cannot be performed, mess. lenght or format incorrect."(you see down below on the picture). I tried already to clean the fault codes, reinstalled the app and also cleared the data of it. The way i did is like this: ignition on and don't start the engine, don't press any pedals then go to control units, engine, basic settings and i get to the problem. The car is an Audi A4 B8 1.8 TFSI, engine was hot each time i tried and the voltage was also over 11.5. I hope somebody can help, thanks. Update: I found the solution that worked for me, if your car is a newer one that the ecu is working with UDS protocol you need to make sure that your obdeleven app is updated to at least 0.24.0(on android). This update is an bugfix for basic settings not working with uds protocol. Also i found different things on forums trying to find an soluton, if there is someone that does have the same problem but it's still not working for you after update try these things: Clear obdeleven app data. Reinstall the app. Make sure you have no fault codes on. Go go change service and change to vw diagnostic mode. Type your security acces code in security acces menu that is under control units > engine. Go to advanced identification and show all before you go in basic settings.

Hi
thanks for steps.
does the alignment complete with a successful message or do you have to click “stop” after a few seconds?

For me, following noltrex suggested steps does work. However, I still see " test of throttle valve adaptation not available" on the screen.
Pressing the tick, you do hear the throttle valve moving.
Support are not in a rush to fix
