wattsonaudi: Try this:
Start/Stop engine button (KESSY): enable "mybeat" - Connect to the OBD11 Dongle and navigate to the control module screen (which lists the installed modules down the left-side of the page)
- Scroll-down the control modules and select Acc/Start Auth which has the number 05 in a circle
- Select Adaptation
- Enter Search lights into the search box and select DeveloperCoding: Search lights
- Select ZAT_illumination_concept_mybeat_clamp58xt and change setting to activated
- Select ZAT_illumination_modus_mybeat_clamp58xt and change setting to activated
- if you are asked for a security code, use 20103

^ ^^pmvaize: I'm not sure! I suspect that it will - but the best way to find out is to go through the steps in the instructions and see if the car allows access to the 2 x adaptation channels that I have identified.
I'm aware that in some later model MQB vehicles, the KESSY module (this is the control unit that operates the remote key start system) was changed. So, if you can't find Acc/Start Auth module in Step 2 above - look instead for System Interface Control Unit which has the number B7 in a circle. Then follow the rest of the steps as indicated in my post above

Hey
The coding works perceft and the pulsation looks great.
Only downside is the brightness of the button, when the engine is on and the pulsation stop.
It is maybe 50% dimmer than before the coding. When you have only ignition on and pulsation is going, the brightness is as high as it should be.
Anyone else notice this?

s3 : Hmm........... can't say that I've noticed the dimming effect. In the Acc/Start Auth module - the behavior of the the ignition start button is called ZAT (ZündAnlassTaster).
The illumination of the ZAT button is determined by an electrical function called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The module combines PWM on the ZAT together with another engineering control function called "Hysteresis" which has a 2 x state threshold value methodology which I describe HERE.
Anyway- the two functions above are determined by the following channels which have the default factory settings as shown: - ZAT_pwm_offset_1_lower_limit > 5%
- ZAT_pwm_offset_2_lower_limit > 10%
- ZAT_pwm_peak1_upper_limit > 90%
- ZAT_pwm_peak2_upper_limit > 100%
Are the values the same on your car? I've not played with these channels - maybe try experimenting?

Thanks dv52 again for help.
I check those values and my car has all the same values that you listed.
Before and after the pulsation coding.
Not sure what i can try to change?

s3 : hmm...... I don't have any advice that I'm certain will work. My only suggestion is to try to increase the lower-limit values on the PWM channels in my last response - but I'm guessing. My hunch is that this might have the impact of not making the pulsing-effect dim so much - but again, a guess!! Don
