Tried to play with Audi A8 traffic jam AI pilot. Under module 13 ACC made activations as follows: - longcoding, STP -> activated - longcoding, CarMenu STP -> activated As the result, I got greyed out option under Driver Assistance in car MMI, see pic:  Then I tried under module A5 Driver Assistance, longcoding, change "STP traffic jam assist" to "installed", but get notification, that function is not available. Do anybody have idea how to "longcode" to "installed" this one?! Also, does anybody knows, is this even possible to get something like this working for A6?! If this can be get to work somehow, then this could be a good reason to retrofit AI button. So, in this way AI traffic jam as well as Parking Assist function can be enabled. |

I would like to retrofit the AI or >> P button, but I can't find where to order the button/Switch.
Can anyone provide a shop / material number?

If I'm not in mistake, to enable this function (Traffic Jam AI PILOT) are necessary at least the two front cameras the AI pushbutton and the 4 radars in the corners of the vehicle.

I have the AI button and all the cameras, lidar and sensors in my A8, just cannot figure out from this thread what coding I need to do to test this.

Activated both settings in module 13, could not find any reference to stp in 44, A5 says function not available. Nothing appears in menu.
A8 with MA and IPA and AI button.
12 cans, lidar etc.

Everything is possible, but...
you need
1) 6 cameras, windshield, front bumper, mirrors, rear, instrument panel
2) 4 radars in the bumpers
3) 12 pcs of ultrasonic sensors
4) lidar
5) ACC radar
6) A5 version D unit (cannot be purchased)
7) instrument panel with driver activity sensing in the form of a camera with IR illumination (can be purchased from AUDI), connect this to the A5 like 6 the camera
8) current FW for A5 which accepts new FW lidar and 5 radars (currently unavailable, only for models 18
9) access to AUDI servers for parameterization of non-original finished units or other storage
10) someone who will do it
(I only need the FW to A5 drive D)

I'm pretty sure you must have the front radars, otherwise it doesn't work.
If I remember right, you must have the correct A5 ecu in order to activate it, but I'm not sure if it's possible into the A6 C8.
For example mine is my21 and it has the most complete ecu for driving assistant, so that it should be compatile. If we list all the coding and adaptation I could try if it accepts the coding and the adaption and I will let you know in order to be sure if yours it's not compatible as I suspect.

I can check the system for other codes and parts for other models if I can find a cluster that has the required camera to start. |
