Description of Bug: Having seen that a new release was out there i went to the Other Tab and selected About.

It showed Version as 1.2.2 (correct) but by the side it said Latest software installed but when I clicked on it it showed me that 1.3.0 was there to update.

Offline view shows control unit 33 - Non Vag OBD-11 Control unit (which is not shown on the Android version) and Control Unit 56 Radio (which is a bug in android), both are not shown on Live connection and are not real for my car so should not be shown.

Control Unit 01 - Engine, Info ODX Version is at the bottom of the screen but you cant read it and it does not scroll down to be able to view it.

Offline Live data - as commented before the output data in Live data is different.

Example (control unit 01)

Currently running routine - Android shows Not available - IOS shows blank

Exhasust flap bank 2, activation - Android shows Function not available - IOS shows Not available offline as I dont have this function I think not available is the correct narrative.

Control unit 09

Connector terminal number - Androis shows 21, IOS shows 4

There are other differences but you guys can check this out and sort it please.

Description of bug:

Today is the last day I will be able to do IOS testing as i am giving the phone back I have borrowed.
If there are repeats in this list I am sorry but there are a fair few differences.

1/ Offline History shows all the Faulty CU one by one, in Android these are by default not shown because they just fill up the history view if you scan the car a lot.

2/ Yesterday I ran scan and clear in Android but when I look in history I cant see any clears.

3/ History file email, when trying to email history the app either hangs or crashes.

4/ Offline Control Unit 09 Sub Systems, IOS Has these extra items that are not in Android

LIN BACKUP HORN H05

Just noticed that both IOS and Android have two rows for RLFS, The first has long coding the second one does not.

5/ Another example of offline screens showing the ability to make changes - when you are not connected to the car.

Example

Control unit 09 - Selected Adaptation then Service Position, correctly shows the position value but in IOS you have a pen by the side.

If I select the pen it allows me to type in a new service position value and hit the done key but for good reason it does not let me save the change.

6/ Control Unit Info does not show new version exist's and version number like Android.

7a/ Individual control unit history shows Faulty CU Data in IOS but this is hidden by default in Android

7b/ Individual control unit history does not show the individual item as a result of full backup but Android does.

7c/ Individual control unit history I compared a backup done on 22/11/2019 @ 14:13:42 when I select the Adaptation (both show 69) the data is different

examples

Day on Android is 22d but on IOS its 60d

dimming characteristic Y1 = 2 on Android but 0 on IOS it appears all the values are on the field below the one they belong to.

8/ Full backup now works but on Android you get the full backup as one view with all control units inside then each control unit has its own bit shown in history as well.
In IOS The individual control units do not show the full backup part.

9/ Non vag cars dont work on IOS, I connected to a Ford Transit that I have connected with and run scans on Android.

Firstly it showed me 220 control units - hmm think you have shown me every single control unit there is in the VAG World

When I connected to 33 (this is the OBD11 Control unit) it said it could not connect

When I looked at History (which I can see on Android) blank screen

Tried to do a scan (should be 1 control unit) it tried to do all 220 units - I think I must have the most complicated Van in the world

10/ Backup file the data on the same backup on Android and IOS is different some examples

Control unit 09

Transport mode on Android was not active but active on IOS this from the same backup

Read Parameter address = 0 on android but A0000 on IOS

A/C heater function via remote control

Anzahl zulaessiger Remotestarts = 2 on android but 15 on IOS

RemoteStart Betrieb Daue = 10 Min on Android but 2 minutes on IOS and there are many more.

General comment I would expect the output files and names (both of the files and the labels/data inside) to be exactly the same - they are not currently.

Examples

Control Unit 09 in android live data there are many fields with underscore eg RLS_LIN_Communication in IOS there are no underscore eg RLS LIN Communication.

Control Unit 17 in android Advanced Identification all the Block values are shown as 0 but in IOS they are blank

Good news Full Backup now works on IOS Thank you.

Description of bug: Device password not accepted
IOS software version: 12.4.7
Phone: iPhone 6+
Car: Audi S5 Sportback Prestige 2019

After upgrading OBDevelen iOS app to version 1.3.0, the 6 digit device password is no longer accepted.

I am unable to connect, because it tells me that is the incorrect password.

Dead in the water now, since I cannot connect to the OBDeleven or perform any useful actions.

I have sent in an email yesterday, and have attempted to use the app to chat with development, but no response there since I do not have access to my invoices or receipts at this time.

For some reason you have to speak with support to get the 6 digit code rather than the Android process where it will send it to your account email.

Bug: The Backup Data of all control units ist still faulty and the Data is Not the same as in the Control Unit!

When making backup of a single control unit device - the backup data is not the same that is coded in real! I can send you screenshots if you like. I. E. Under parking break adaptions in real Automatik transmission is aktive and manual transmission is deactivated (what is the real for my car)In the Backup it says automatic transmission deactivated but manual transmission activated. The same with I.e. breaking guard sensitivity: in adaptions it is at 6.....in the backup it is at 3.

Tested with every control unit of my car. The problem is under App version 1.3.0, 1.2.2 and 1.2.1 (other versions not tested)

Tonight, all is working. It finally accepted the new password I specified last week, and I was finally able to make a change. I turned on the gear number for the S and D displays in the virtual cockpit.

Also took a couple of backups.

Thanks to all, including OBDeleven help data.

Description of bug:

When running the initial startup scan, the scan stops at "80 Battery Regulation," 20/29 modules scanned, I canceled the scan after 5 minutes of not moving on to the next module.

This is the first time using OBDeleven and on this car.

This happened the first day I set it up and a second time a few days after posting in the C8 forum.

I tried this with:

a) ignition on (engine off) and hood up and hood down

b) engine on and hood up.

I had 4 of 5 bars of data signal (not WiFi, but telephone data 4G connection)

I also tried going direct to the module based on what a pro member asked me to try, with ignition on/engine off going to the module

Before clicking on the 80 Battery Regulation module, the pro member asked me to report that it had a green circle around the 80

After trying to connect to 80 directly, it would just sit there with a spinning circle for over 5 min before shutting down (I also tried it with engine on, hood up).

So it will not connect to Module 80 Battery Regulation.

I have tried other modules directly and the seem to work

However, with ignition on/engine off I was able to backup module 09 Central Electrics (I had made an error earlier saying it was 03, but it is 09).

I was able to manually go into other modules successfully, other than 80 Battery Regulation, and ones with higher addresses.

I have backed up modules individually, but ran out of time to back all of them up (I have only backed up manually one by one 5 modules).

Also I tried to back up all modules previously at one time, but it got stuck on 09 Central Electrics and the % would not move for over 5 minutes, so I stopped the backup, I was a few days later to back up module 09 manually / individually

One other odd thing was during both the Engine Module backup and the Central Electrics backup that in the Virtual Cockpit, basically in the center DIS area that the engine oil level showed for several seconds, I have never seen this in normal op without the OBDeleven connected.

Description of bug: The App "Increased Engine Responsiveness" causes Cruise Control to change the behavior. Instead of + and - 10Km/h it changes to + and - 1 km/h
I know that the app is confirmed for 1.5 TSI engines only and may raise a fault in the break control unit. Well it can also cause your CC to work differently. ;-)

Description of bug: Reading Control Units before Scan of Control Units shows faults.
Logged into the app
Read Control Units
Before beginning the Scan portion, I checked the Units and noticed that Multimedia showed one Fault (Red) and on Fault (green). The red Fault is always present as I don't use or have activated the satellite radio. Apparently this being in deactivated mode is a "Fault". The other fault (Green) sometimes appears - transient indicator, but not a Fault. Pictures of the Multimedia Faults is attached

Bug present in 1.2.2, still present in 1.3.0 & 1.3.1 on stable and beta version of iOS.

09 module slide to right with a particular setting causes app to crash.

Under Static AFS light if I go to change Abdimmgeschwindigkeit to a different value and try to perform slide to write the app crashes. If you go and open the app you need to reconnect to the dongle. No change is actually made as it still says 125% (not default value as this change was made using VCDS). The below value in attempting is within range, as you can go from 0 to 255. I’ve tried other values, with same result. Perform slide to write after enter in the new value and app crashes every time. For purpose of this bug I can change upper speed threshold limit under Static AFS light with no issue, so this appears to be specific to making a change to Abdimmgeschwindigkeit under Static AFS light in 09 module.

whataboutthis: le4dsoldier if you have a pre 2024 VAG motor that is supported and you have the Pro or Ultimate license you can code Adaptions and long Coding but after 2024 SFD2 STOPS YOU. SFD Can be unlocked but basic plan only allows you to use OCA Nov 21, 2024 16:52:53 GMT
