There is a lot of miss information about the .... Lifetime....And ....Sealed for life.... automatic transmissions in Golfs.
MY car's factory supplied instruction book says to Change transmission oil and filter at 60,000km 120000km and 180000km.

I've owned this car from new. The instructions are for my vin

2010 Golf 2.5L 5 cylinder, Tiptronic 6 speed.

Agreed. I think what is more important is to stick with something OEM approved for these transmissions in each fluid change as well.
