I can't seem to get the app for start/stop disabling figured out. I want the default system from the factory (which needs you to press the button the dash disabling automatic start stop every time you start the vehicle up) to work such that if I press that button, when I turn the vehicle off, at the next startup it is effectively 'pressed'. I've spent 300 credits trying to get this to work (the company has been nice enough to refund them), but want to know what I'm supposed to select of the two options as the language regarding disabling a system that disables something is a bit confusing, so maybe I'm getting tripped up by double negatives or something?
Can anyone help?

Not my car but in simple terms the apps that I have seen give you two options.
1/ Turn stop start off so that it no longer works at all and no matter what you do to the button it wont change
2/ Turn it back on and you get the VW Reset every time you recycle the ignition.
If you want the Stop Start button to stay in the same place as you left it then you need to fit a memory module (you can get them off ebay) or build one yourself. I have this fitted to my car and it stays where you left it, or you can go back to stock mode and the button works so you can turn it off/on as required.
The apps are doing only what can be coded which is to turn the start stop process off but be aware on late 2019 or 2020 cars the coding no longer works as VAG have changed it so the old coding no longer works
Hope that helps.

Found a provider out of Australia that provides one with connectors, so I don't need to cut any wires. I appreciate the info so I can stop trying to make OBDEleven do something it's incapable of.

Yes I was just about to reply, The guy I bought it from was in Europe and a lot cheaper can only assume he cant get parts.
To be clear this is a VAG design Limitation in that they coded on the old cars the conditions (so you could code it out) to meet regulations and now they have turned off this work around completely.

Now I need to figure out where to get diagrams of the dash, so I can figure out which bits I just pry off, and which need something else. Do you recall the procedure to get access to the backs of the switches?

I am afraid I have a different car to yours so my workshop manuals wont be much use. Check out the Audi Car forums in nobody on here can help. The other places I find usefull are ERWIN erwin.audi.com/erwin/showHome.do but you have to pay to access the data but i use the manuals a lot Or www.oemepc.com/ and select your car (you might be lucky and the vin works) and they give some very helpful exploded pics with part numbers. Hope that helps.
