Hello, I need your help to find the right code/way to activate the "Lane assist" in my car, I have traffic sign recognition, also the Adaptive cruse control, but not the Lane assist "with or without" the Adaptive.
I am quite new with all the car changes, so I was looking for something direct to change. I saw some videos on youtube but they are for older models.
thanks a lot all in advance

You could follow any tutorial for facelift Golfs, including the 3Q0 980 654 camera. There are plenty of Howtos avaliable, not as an step-by-step video, but quite well readable.

Thanks a lot Newty, it works Only I had a sever issue yesterday when I was testing the lane assist for the first time, as: I was driving with an activated ACC at 90KM speed, and I activated the Lane assist with the Adaptive option, everything was just fine, until I came through a normal lane curve, it started getting into the curve normally, then around the middle it kept driving like a straight forward not as taking the turn/curve, and I had to forcefully turn the steering wheel aggressively to restore it to the Lane again, and it was damn terrible, is it I missed anything in the coding not mentioned in a document? I verified that all the steps were followed exactly. or it is just the Lane assist capabilities! I am afraid to turn it on again, specially when I have the family with me in the car. your help is really highly appreciated. thanks in advance

Lane assist only does small adjustments and not curves, watch the white lines on the dash when you go round corners (using the steering wheel) they will go grey when too much steering is applied, that will let you know the parameters of the curves lane assist can take,

Like vwjap says be careful with the lane assist. It is a assistant not an autonomous drive mode like Tesla

Thanks a lot guys, definitely it is just a lane assist not a Tesla only I was expecting it to follow the lines as it was just basic curve, not a turn . at all, is there any options I could config for the lane assist to make it better? if there, please share it. thanks again.

Some people put a middle water bottle in the steering wheel for driving with the lane assist assistant. There are videos in you tube.... don’t do this

I do not think you did anything wrong. It is "all or nothing". Once it is activated in all needed control units, you will see the orange/green LA symbol and that's it with the settings showing in driving assistance. You will get to know the assistant and its quirks after some kilometers.
Still it is an assistant, so it will help you steering but should not be steering on it's own (altough it works well normally :-) )
There is little to do: You can check "Warning intensity, lane departure warning" as an adaption and even activate it to show in the menu. Point of intervention (mine is set the early (setting via menu) as a coding will enable "Adaptive line guidiance" to be activated which will keep you in the middle of lane rather than pingpong between lines.

Hi, it is yes exactly as what you mentioned. I kept an eye on the lane assist signs "orange/green", and it was turning off to Orange when I come to a long curve, and I think that is why it made the first issue I had when it kept driving straight forward . thanks a lot Newty, and everyone for helping me with that.

Hi, I have coded everything as per the Tutorial, but i do not see the logo or the options in the settings fore the lane assist. I already added traffic sign detection successfully.
What might i have done wrong? Will it help if i revise every setting manually or does anyone know, what mistake i have done?

A5 codings are showing up in the infotainment after the bus has been put to rest (Locked car for 30 Minutes). 5F codings frequently need a hard reset (pushing the powerbutton until reboot) - waiting for bus rest also is sufficient.
When LaneAssist is disabled, there is no direct indication in the cluster (coded and turned off is the same black as not coded :-) ). You should see is it in the assistance view of the cluster immediately and should be able to enable it right after coding there. If it is not showing there, check the cluster coding.
