This has probably been discussed before but I could not find a definitive answer for MK7.5 NAR models with LED headlights.
I want to remove the NAR headlight restrictions so I can enable city light, highway light, rain light and all weather light.
Anybody know the step by step instructions? I understand doing the coding will get the AFS light error after, how do you clear that in OBD11? I've seen a video using VCDS but what about OBD11?
TIA

Very similar process - so once you make whichever coding changes in the 4B module that you want, you should go to the Basic Settings area of the 4B module and tap on "Basic headlamp setting". Hold down the green checkmark. Now, go back and do the same but for "Acknowledge basic setting". At least on my GTI, the basic settings go through immediately, you don't need to wait for anything. Once you do Acknowledge basic setting, the AFS error should go away.
The only thing you can't do is change the "market" parameter in long coding from nar -> ece like old Mk7's could do. From what I've seen, that requires loading different firmwares/parameters onto the headlights and/or 4B module. Otherwise you get lots of errors and turn signals / DRLs won't work til you switch it back to nar mode. Hope that helps.

Thank you. Can you post the all coding instructions again? I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. Sure so, for rain light/city light, etc. you would do the following:
- Open module 4B Multifunction Module - Go to Long Coding - Go to rain_light, for example, and set it to 'enabled'. You'll see highway/allweather/city light right next to it. - Another nice tweak is changing Static AFS Light from 'FMVSS' to 'ECE R119' to make the cornering lights come on more often. Also if you have built-in navigation, set Intersection Light with Route Data to 'enabled' and the cornering lights will come on when you pull up to an intersection. - When you're done with long coding, go do the Basic Settings procedure as above. - Finished
