Hello everyone! I've recently started using my OBD11 and so far, I've added lane tracking (which works pretty well on the highway!). My only issue is that every 15 seconds, I get a loud ding with "take over steering!" displayed on my dash, and lane assist is deactivated till you steer again. I've seen several people saying that it's not possible to disable this annoying warning, and to just do the "water bottle trick"...I refuse to believe that there's not a way to disable this. If anyone has found a way to disable it, that info would be greatly appreciated!
Also feel free to comment any changes that you've made to your adaptive cruise/lane assist. I'm currently also looking to add traffic jam assist with stop and go....but that dinging is my priority. Thanks in advance!

1) Nope. No chance for removing the warning. You can enable EA Variant1 in 3q0-type cameras, but thats most you can get, if not already set from factory. Everything else would need an entirely hacked software for the camera or using development software on the camera. 2) Traffic Jam Assist is a Job for VCP, as you have to install a factory parameter set enabling this. Generally, a 60 second task using the right tool. OBD11 cannot install parameter sets.

You mentioned something about enabling a camera system...Would that delay the warning? Or what would that do?

EA1 (Emergency Assist Type 1) will enable a three stage warning: Friendly bing (LA still enabled), Agressive beep (LA still on), Agressive beep and Brake jolt (LA now turns off).
With the real EmergencyAssist the car starts to slow down after that sequence (depends on TJA), so everything is maxed out that way.
This all needs a 3q0 980 654 camera, just check the info of your A5 unit
