Has anyone tried to code a 5G0907044BD to work on their car?
Tried to retrofit a MK7 (or it could be from a passat) climatronic to a MK6 Gti (without heated seat), all plugged in but only LED lights up. couldn’t get it working nor the button have any repsonse at all.
Do i need to get it coded in order to work on a mk6? seems most of them succeeded with just plug and play.

I'm "guessing" a new gateway, or re-pinning of some wires are needed. Could you access the retrofitted unit from OBDeleven, and do output tests, such as testing the blower and the re-circulation flaps?
If this work, then the wiring isn't your issue.

Ive got exactly the same prob dude ! Did u manage to find a fix , seems.like the module is not recognising the new unit !

Yes, did some research again and i ended up buying another unit off a pre-facelift since they are running the same system as the MK6, plug & play and it works straight away without any coding needed. (try to look for the part number 3AA907044, more likely from a 2011-12 scirocco or mk6 cabriolet) **don’t get anything from a MK7 and anything newer, you will ended up with a more complicated process, stay away from this part number 5G0907044** |
