I have a 1.4 GT MK7 Golf and I have GTD rear LEDs installed in the back... The inner indicators aren't wired yet as I have not got round to it but all lights are functional apart from that. I was messing around with OBD eleven and used 100 credits doing the "duestche autoparts" rear led coding to see if i could chance the indicators working but instead the outer lights stopped working and they went crazy! How do I get back to factory settings before this coding ? PLEASE HELP *(Golf mk7 LHD UK Originally with halogen lights)

Go to "garage" and select your car. Select "history". You should see a time stamped record of changes.

Go to "garage" and select your car. Select "history". You should see a time stamped record of changes. Thanks! I've done this but all it says is the duestche auto parts coding and for the before code part it says standard, so not any useful codes or what not to change back to if you get me?

How do I get back to factory settings before this coding ? PLEASE HELP *(Golf mk7 LHD UK Originally with halogen lights) Max: Hello. Wow - 100 credits to do this tweak is a lot!!! I wonder how much DAP gets of these 100 credits? Anyhow, I guess that there is a willing buyer and a willing seller -therefore those that pay must value the expense as appropriate. For me, it seems like a high expense to avoid doing the tweak "manually".
So, I never use OBD11 Apps (of any kind) which means that I don't have much experience with them. The principal reason why I avoid Apps is the very thing that you have observed - no record of what changes are made to the car!!
I was however sufficiently interested in this App (mostly because of the outrageous price) to look at the screen shots -without implementing the App. I found that if I pressed the small down arrow that I have cirled in the picture below I get the second picture. As you can see, it has the term "standard" as an option. Now the words on the first screen says that this App is specifically for LED lamps, so I wonder what "standard" means. Does "standard" mean reverting the settings to their original values? Perhaps Admin could confirm the meaning of this option?
IMPORTANT TIP FOR ANY OBD11 USER THAT INTENDS TO USE APPS - BACKUP FIRST!!
Too late now, but my suggestion if you ever get this problem sorted - use the "Backup" option that is available for each control module BEFORE you implement any Apps. Below is a picture of the Gateway module showing the Backup panel (ignore the yellow box - I used this picture for another purpose originally).
Backup adds a set of records to the history file that shows all adaptation channels and coding values for the control module - at the time that the backup is done. If you make these records BEFORE the APP makes changes, you get a database of the virgin settings in the module. These records can be a very handy resource for times (like yours) when Apps go pear-shape (you can use the records to compare your changed settings against the back-up values)
Here's an example of how backup works- the history records below are from the Steering Column Electronics module on my test-bench. Notice the Back-up records (a complete list of ALL the Adaptation channel settings and a complete description of the control module - including the code-string)

Standard turns the inside light on only and the LED option turn them all off? My curiosity has really screwed my lights! Max: The more I look at this App, the greater becomes my incredulity (at the cost). I've translated the Deutsche Auto Parts VCDS coding instructions for their No-Splice MK7 LED Harness into OBD11 language in the table below. I assume this is the instruction-set that the OBD11 App replicates (I hope)
If I'm reading the webpage correctly, there are just 14 x adaptation channel changes required to code the LED harness. This means that each change costs 7 credits - or a little over 1€ per Adaptation channel. WoW!!
Anyhow, the reason why I've posted the table is to allow you to check what modifications the App has made to your car. I think that my table is correct, but you can double-check my work by comparing the table to the VCDS screen-shots on the DAP webpage HERE. I strongly suggest that you do this.
If you are confident that my table is correct, you might consider changing the values for the adaptation channels in your car to those in the STOCK SETTING column. Hopefully this will get you back to the original settings on your car - I think!!! Don

Nice work moderator! I wish we could get this kind of love for the Jetta! aggman: LOL! Thanks for the kind words - there is lot's of "love" to spread around on the Mk7 forum and there are lot's of very helpful folk here that are willing to contribute their expertise! If your Jetta is built on an MQB platform (I understand that the newer models are MQB based), then there is probably someone here that can answer your questions - just ask (there ain't no harm in asking)

Can you alter the heading of this thread to include the words "DAP - No splice LED Harness". By making this change, the forum search mechanism will work better to identify the principal content of the thread (I think). Cheers Don

And there lays most of the problem; it is not MQB.

Where is this translated table that is mentioned above? I've got a 2017 VW GTI Sport and I made an error. I applied the Urban Joke app and forgot to revert it back, later, when I ran the DAP Euro LED Harness app. I've removed the DAP Euro Harness adaptation, but I get the "Not Supported" message when trying to change the Urban Joke adaptation back to standard. I need to get these settings back to standard. I don't see the table as stated above that has the translation from the DAP adaptation instructions. Any assistance with this is GREATLY appreciated. I'd love to finally get my LED tail lights working properly. Thanks!
Matt

Hello guys. I have a 2015 highline golf exclusive, and recently I marked this adaptation option by mistake. I have already been able to make the functions of the flashlight return to normal, but the two LEDs on the arrow are not lit in the flashlight and brake options, as in the photo. Does anyone know how to fix this, remembering that my flashlight is original LED, factory.

Hi, if you have factory LED, that you have 3 options to solve the problem. 1) Use OBD11 app, just go to "Garage" -> Your Golf -> Apps -> LED TAIL LIGHTS RETROFIT -> Choose "LED" and OK This Apps is based on 5G1052200 coding and it is only for Europe vehicles! It is simple, but App cost is 100 Credits! (WoW) 2) Just drive to your local VW dealer (VW service workshop) and ask for online coding of Central Electrics Module. It will be probably cost approx. 10-20 EUR - please ask your dealer. 3) If you have time, analyse the DV52 tables and try to do led-adaptations of outside ligths. Please remember - before you do something with coding, let's do the backup first!Greeting Jacko

raphatchob: If I could add to Jacko's advice - you might also check your history file for the Central electrics module. Make sure that you revert the settings to the "old values'

Jacko, good morning. This option "LED TAIL LIGHTS RETROFIT" return the factory parameters for chanels of the tail lights? Thank you. Raphael Hi Raphael. I don't have tested it, but if app is really based on 5G1052200 that is "retrofit" like factory wiring and coding should be the same like factory coding.

^^^^ John: here's the list of changes that the DAP harness App should make in the Central electrics module. Since you have already successfully implemented the DAP App, I suggest that you first check that the current values in your car are as listed in the "New Setting" table. If they are, revert the values to the old values ("Stock Setting" in the table) Don
