Generally, VCDS and VCP come with extra features, but for this, this should not be needed.
Did you replace the "LeiMo" (3D0941329D or similar)? If so, coding of these is done automatically from the headlight regulation. Just enter coding of 55, change nothing, but apply. You should now see that there is an fault (Basic Setting missing), then park the car at a flat surface, then enter Basic Settings, Start Basic Headlight setting, go back and start acknowledge basic setting. This should detect and code the new LeiMo

Hi Adrian,
I do not think an instruction for a Golf 5 (Generation 1K) is helpful here.

After careful reading, information your posted is also relevant for MQB in "Special Notes and "Basic settings". Still, all other information is referring to PQ35 specifics. Sorry for being so harsh, just read the first paragraphs .

^^^ ray: Hi - as newty has already said before somewhere on this forum (I cant find his post now) - when you install a new afs module, it needs to be "initialized" meaning that a set of starting parameters needs to be installed into the module to tell it where "horozontal -level" is on the car. Undertaking the basic setting procedure provides this initial parameter-set to the module.
Your Golf mk7 has the newer MQB build platform and generally this design architecture has its own peculiarities and its own set of unique processes. Using the same basic setting procedure from a mk5 Golf (1K build) may work - but only because there is a similarity (or, a coincidence) in the 2 x different cars. Without intending any criticism - it's generally a good idea to adopt the process that's designed specifically for the type of car which has the problem
To this end- this is the specific initialization processes that apply to MQB platform vehicles (and yes, there are similarities with the mk5)
You will need to run 2 x separate procedures in the hex55 module:
Make sure the car is on level ground and that the suspension is settled
Procedure 1
- Select Xenon range control module @ address hex55
- Select Basic Settings
- Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedure
- This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but for the purpose of establishing an initial parameter-set into a new afs module, just move to the next step
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
Procedure 2 (still in Basic settings in hex55 module)
- Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedure
- The reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the module
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
- Back-out of the basic settings facility, clear any error codes and exit OBD11 software (don't forget to disconnect the OBD11 dongle)
Whilst I reckon that your response via a video is an excellent way of communicating your findings, I'm not sure how closely you have followed the procedures above. I suspect (guess, really) that you haven't manually cleared the errors - they won't clear automatically! In any event, perhaps try again and be careful to follow each step as specified (including clearing the DTCs)

Put your toys back in your Pram, don has just wrote it up in a very layman’s way, and then he’s pointed out that it doesn’t look like the op has actually cleared the errors, (by pressing the bin in the red circle)

I tried all of this and nothing is working I installed a brand, new driver side, headlight assembly brand, new modules, and all brand new bulbs. Nothing seems to work for me.

gticarbon23 : Hmm........ the Basic Setting procedure(s) in my post are NOT a panacea for all AFS ills. And importantly, the procedures will ONLY work if there are NO other errors in the module!! If you want to pursue this matter, you will need to provide more information about your specific problem. At the very least, we need to see a copy of a SCAN for this car to understand how it is built AND we need a backstory of what work has led to the need to complete the Basic Setting procedures Don
