Hi, I've got a 2009 Mk6 golf and I'm looking to buy the obd eleven tool, but wanted to just check if it's possible to change the speed display in in the MFD from km/h to mph through this device? I understand that VCDS can, and also is it possible to make the speed display bigger? If possible, is this available only through long coding as I can't see any apps screen in the android app. Thank you for your help.

and also is it possible to make the speed display bigger? Yes, this is called "Alternate speed display", but this would require you NOT to change the native speed of the cluster so that the alternate one would show in large fonts in the MPH units you want. As for the needle gauge, you can't change the "scale" in VCDS or OBDeleven, but you can do it in EEPROM using a tool called VDOeditor. VDO editor can do everything that you want to do to the cluster, but OBDeleven and VCDS can do everything else that doesn't relate to the scale movement of the analog needles. When you enable alternative speed in large font, then you lose the display of the external temperature gauge. VDOeditor can also repurpose your coolant gauge as a boost gauge (like in those old-school GT Rabbits).

If you can get someone to read the 24C64 EEPROM of your cluster, I can make the edits, and send back to you.
