Hi,
I have a 2012 N.American(Canada) Golf TDI Highline, that came with Halogen, in stock trim. Ended up retrofitting Bi-Xenon with LED DRLs from a 2012 GTI. I found out, the GTI was using the same CECM, as TDI: 1K0937086P. My TDI software version is 0657, not sure what the GTI was.
I got my Xenons to work, along with the high beam and LED DRLs. But, I’d like my LED DRLs to work on their own, during the day, so I’m not burning through xenon bulbs, and having to replace more often. I’ve tried various codes on Byte 18 (currently using 22 with no errors and all lights working) but my xenons are always on, with the DRLs. I got a euro switch, and played around with some coding, and they still stay on. I also have oem LED tails w/o rear fogs.
Currently (See below), For the DRL/Xenon settings I came across, and what I have checked/unchecked. Any suggestions I could try, would be helpful, as I been searching on forums as well as tinkering with settings. One thing I didn’t try, as I just read, was to give the MFD a reset to factory. As I heard, some settings may not take effect, even when coded properly, if the factory setting was done? But this person, swapped out a new BCM, when they suggested to reset to factory.
Byte 9 - Manual activation/deactivation for DRL suppressed = Active-checked
Byte 11 - DRLs /Active-checked
-Permanent Running light via low beam = unchecked
***Bit 6=Checked (no description so not sure what this is)
Byte 14 - Bi-xenons with shutter installed =Active-checked
Byte 15 - DRLs with separate lights = Active-checked
-DRLs adaption MFA+ = Active-checked
Byte 17 - Bixenon additional high beam (installed) = checked
Byte 18 - hex=22
Byte 24 - Hex =E4
Byte 25 - DRL LED brightness =Full
-High beam via shutter Installed =checked/active
Byte 26 - DRL only with assistance driving light =unchecked
Byte 27- LED DRL module for parking light and DRL =Installed/checked
Long Code: 6F180A1B90272AC400880041400009EC48862280524D8520E48620040040
Thanks,
Ron
