Hello, i upgraded my soundsystem by removing the "dynaudio" amplifier under the seat and adding dsp+amps+speakers. I coded the external amp to internal and switched byte-19-Most of. Problem is that i cant switch map to aid anymore. Switch button is grey and from steeringwheel it gets stuck on "Starting map view.....". Car is a Golf R 2018. Any ideas? Thank you.

If you have discover media don’t touch this option. Must be ON.
you must explain what did you do and what do you change in the communication wires between the unit and the dashboard....

Ok. I aded connector and speaker wires to the back of the "cd player" in clovebox. And they go to a DSP high level input and there to amplifiers. Everything else works like before.

In the glove box, the main unit have a fiber wire to conect It to the dashboard. Normally have a black colour if it is from stock installation. This is the MOST fiber wire. Are you make any modification of this?
If you don’t touch the codification before your new installation, the system would be ok.
Can you put the codification from unit 5F, and 17 module and the codification of the dashboard display configuration in the adaptations of 5F unit ? In your photo only can see part of this.

Didint do anything to the black most wires. Didint code anything else. Mayby i will have to try putting the orginal amp back as a test. Will try to get code list.

I would try 1 thing at a time to see what it is that stops the maps from working. Try leaving the original amp connected, then switch byte 11 Sound System to internal. See if the maps stop working. Or, try only unplugging the MOST wire from the original amp without changing coding and see what happens.

Idea is to config the car to be same as a non dynaudio car. To use the internal amp in clovebox.I think thats where non dynaudio car gets singnals to speakers? Its easyer to get full left and right channels from there. This part works fine with my mods(speaker wires to internal amp and coding to use it), only map transfere stops working. I tested unplugin most or the other big connector from externalamp. Map transfer stops working from everything other than original config. I think the question is what is different between dynaudio car and non dynaudio car. (coding, wires and etc?) Is there map transfere in a car with no dynaudio option? Pictures are from orginal setup with under seat amp coded to be used. This is the only one that needs to be changed to get internal amp to work.

Both dynasound and AID needs signal from fiber (MOST). You must use a splitter to send a signal both to Dynasound and AID. Play attention to the fact that fiber cable is one way cable

Hey. Same issue here. I'm so happy to find this thread! Yesterday they changed my windshield on my Passat B8 2015, today maps work fine on Discover Pro Nav, but on the AID it’s stuck in ‘Starting Map View’. Is there any connection between changing windshield and ‘Starting Map View’...? Any clue or idea what they did. Thank you in advance for any tip.
