I'm going to buy this device and I'm curious if this will diagnose issues which have occurred due to an accident where airbags deployed and engine won't start up. I will have to correct faults before the car will run again and I'm hoping this device will list all known faults, any help/advice is most welcome. I have an 09 golf 1.4 Tren M5F 5dr 80bhp, thanks again

Airbags, on a whole though, would need to be physically replaced, then the faults cleared, then rechecked. If the car does NOT start, then the MAIN airbag module itself would need to be physically replaced, OR the crash data in the EEPROM would need to be cleared using a third-party editor. OBDeleven and VCDS can code a new bag module once you note the coding of your existing module, and the security code for the new airbag module. You can buy OBDeleven without fear. |
