Hi,
I'm looking at buying the OBD11 plug in adaptor, but just want to check if blocks 208 & 209 have been added to the software yet to be able to check timing chain stretch?
This will determine whether I get the software or not so need a definitive answer!
Thanks in advance

All of the engine live blocks should be there available for view, it's another question if the description of those channels have been added. For example with my 2.0 FSI, I cannot see descriptions for any of the engine channels. This is not a total show stopper as Ross-tech kindly provides a generic list at www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/m_blocks/. Also the data protocol seems to have knowledge of units, this helps to raise confidence in the Ross-tech list as you can see that this measurement block XX provides percentages, rpm and temperature in Celcius (you can compare that the units match to Ross-tech list). I cannot spot the 208 or 209 from the Rosstech list and I'm suspicious if any of the MK5 Golfs actually can report this value? I'm quite novice on these matters, so take above with a grain of salt.

I see that the link you added shows that the "channels" or groups are good for cars beginning between 1999-2000. This may be the dumbest question ever. This means ever thing from 1999-2000 and up these channels for measuring blocks are good for? I use the IOS platform and noticed that the specifications of some of these measuring blocks are not included. Do we have a section on the forum that identifies the specifications?

timotheeh you asked in the Chat channel if this should be reported in the bug thread. You will have to pardon my ignorance as I don't know that much about the older protocols. What I can say is that if you can see the channel you want but there are no labels then as per my bug report the ios Application as far as I have been able to test does not support the updating ability. You can however do this in Android and happy to post a how to if that helps. With regards to finding the information to ensure its updated correctly, whilst I would wish OBD11 did this they leave it to the user community i am afraid so as such this is not a bug but missing data is a/w a kind user to do the work or give OBD11 team a list (and ross tech data is not acceptable as i am sure its copyright material)
