What is your overall state of this retrofit?

Coding side isn't that interesting, its more the hardware.
If should be activating LDW in Infatainment, enabling RCTA an Parking and ABS, enable SWA in Camera and Steering.
That should be it.

But:
Side Assist sensors are component protected, so you need to have them unlocked at VW first. Check for need of calibration, too. Used ones do not need calibration of refitted currectly, new sensors need calibration - which was an issue at the refits I have followed for Leons.

5F are the 4 adaptions i mentioned. They are not 1 on 1 as they are described, but you will find them.

I can't see the slave (2nd module) in my scan and I have a few errors even with all the correct coding.

All side assist have component protection, which can only be lifted by GeKo and ODIS.
You will not see the slave anywhere, as it is a subsystem in MQB. When your tool is able to show subsystems, you will see it (or not). The Sideassist master will notify you about a missing communication, but not the gateway.

Regarding communication errors I found extended UDS data by VCP, VCDS and even ODIS very helpful. That is something OBD11 is not able to show right now.

Thanks for the reply.

The ODIS read is the following to demonstrate that:

1) there doesn't seem to be any component protection notices on the parts unless that's only available with a dealer login?
2) there is a 3C error B200500 ($41500 / 267520) Data record invalid, DTC text: Control Unit - Invailed dataset, DTC ambient conditions
3) there is a 3C error U10BA00 ($B2204 / 729604) Local data bus no communication, DTC text: Private CAN - no signal/no communication, DTC ambient conditions
4) no subsystem is even viewable in ODIS.

Could it be the software version perhaps being 71 as oppose to 81 that fixed the ghost issue?

I have the 3C messaging on extended canbus as oppose to terminal 15 which the parking assist is on. (Wiring diagram for the golf states it should be this way ?)

There is an option in the gateway which I'm not sure is relevant either?

The SW version was wrong. V71 and needed 81 except being on the B revision of the part and not C, the version was too old for the gateway to recognise. Simple swap over of the parts to c revision, SW81 Thanks for your help
