Hi,
I have noticed that some Golf’s have both the beams on when driving. I have to flash/full beam in order for the inside beam to come on. How is this achieved please? I can’t seem to find anything relating to this in the app.
I have a 2019 R 7.5. The lights ive seen on other Golfs aren’t dazzling like leaving my full beams on either.
Thanks in advance.

Those cars (like mine) are fitted with the top end adaptive lighting set up. It uses both the inner and outer units as dipped beam, but can "adapt" high beam in the outer units to mask off on coming cars etc and track them so they aren't blinded when the full beam is on (it's very cool actually). All the while the outer lights are on full beam, the inner ones remain on dipped to "fill" in the light between the front of the car and where the high beam starts.
It became standard on GTI's/ R's etc I think from about mid 2019 (whereas it was a bloody expensive option on mine).
Unfortunately can't be done via coding, it's all new hardware.
