What to do when the fault code given: 1. Doesn't have any explanations when you use "look up" 2. People on forum seem to be dead (at least for your brand/model of car)?

Hello, I tried to look up the codes myself but it seems that they are labelled to be completely tied to the model you have. So google cant be expected to maybe suggest another VAG car that has similar code. My car is TT mk3 8s. Fault codes are: B133029 - Anti-theft alarm system sensor Implausible signal and U113700 - Sirens / alarm horn for anti-theft warning system implausible message

Just as a matter of interest have you made any coding changes
Have you been through a lot of water recently
Have you locked the car with you inside and then tried to set the alarm off to make sure the alarm/horn is actually working.

Hello, Interesting questions. Answ: 1. No no codding. Just regular fault code checks. 2. No, no water here. It hasn't rained in a month or more. 3. No I havent to be honest. I might do that. I cleared the codes and they returned once more. Cleared them again and after that they haven't appeared in scan results anymore. I was just curious what they mean. Some people suggest weak car battery (its over 5 years old) plus I dont drive the car for 2 weeks straight sometimes. Again the core of my concern is what do when you dont own Gold (the one car that seems to have full app support)? For me look up the code function does nothing as there are already few TT modes around. And even less using obd11. Same story for my a1. I am yet to find the look up function useful. Devs really need to sit down and make a dedicated database for description of these fault codes. Look up just quick googles it. I can do that myself!

Well good news on the error front, for now and hopefully going forward.
The problem for all these tools is that you either have to have physical access to every car that VAG have every made and or a very strong user community that can help both dev team and other users. Afraid most of the guys on this forum who are active are mostly Golf and a few Audi
The problem with error codes is a lot of them are very generic so there is not just a simple answer and you generally find better answers on model specific forums I am afraid.
The reason I asked about the rain etc was I had seen a few people with problems where there horn/siren had been damaged and caused issues.

Yeah. Im a member of 2 audi forums (one is specifically dedicated to TT). None know anything when it comes to technical problems. Its all old midlife crisis people talking about leather care, car shampoos and best insurance deals.
So no help from them any more than I can expect here :DDDDD
