Hi, I just bought OBD eleven new genaration. The problem I have is that when I want to change something in long coding I am getting fault code 31(the function is not supported) so I am not able to change the value of the Bit But that stange thing is when I do the coding via the app (for the credits) it works. I have tried to search on internet but all I found is to delete the memory from the app. I´ve tried this but still have the same problem. If someone has some solution I would appreciate it very much. Thank everyone for help.

Hi Adrian, Thank you for your answer.I used google translator to translate from spanish so I am sorry if my answer is not 100% correct.
So I tried to use login code. I tried to program Needle sweap with long coding which was giving me error 31 before. I went to bit 1 and tried to check the needle swap. It gave me the same error. So I tried to switch from VW Diagnostic mode to Developer mode. Suddenly it allowed me to change the value. Then I triend again in the same mode to change the value back. Again it gave me error code. So I changed the mode back to VW diagnostic mode and put the login code. And vuala.... it worked. So I am not sure what is happening but somehow it works.
So if someone is having this issue just try to switch between modes, it may help.

On the main screen for the module after long coding and adaptions it has change service
It has 5 different option
Vw-diagnostics mode (the main one you use and default)
Obd- diagnostics mode (never used it)
Diagnostics mode for safety related systems (exactly what it says)
End of assembly line mode (for activating stuff like swap codes)
Development mode (change to this)

I keep getting the fault code 31(the function is not supported) in long coding when I try to activate the oil temperature display. Changing modes didn't help, what should I do?

You tried clearing app data? (Settings-apps-obdeleven-clear app data, then re log in)

No, not yet, I'll try that tomorrow, thanks!
Edit:
Tried it, twice - nothing. It's a 2013. Golf 7 Trendline, maybe the oil temperature display is not supported? OBDeleven so called support told me to read the forums, some support, pay the product than ask the other customers how to use it. Outrageous.
All the other codes have worked fine, I used the apps. I'm really not a demanding person about all this, I'm completely satisfied with the few codes I have done so far and the oil temperature would be the last, we can all agree it's a pretty useful feature. Is there a way to find out what coding is possible for my car, according to production year or something?

Not really as it’s all down to what hardware/modules you have too, so it’s all pretty specialised, and nobody would know what cars can have what mods
