Hey have built in a camera in my golf facelift only need to connect it to the 12v cable. But before I do that, I would like to know where in the obdeleven app I can find where to register it eg in which module now I don't see a picture or anything else in the app

You don’t say if highline or lowline
Low line
5f module (infotainment) Long coding Byte 19 Tick bit 4 (Rear view camera)

Ok I cut and paste this from many of the previous times I’ve posted so you can see the differences Highline reverse camera, as coding to get all the options is different from lowline with less options Lowline Highline (notice the buttons on right hand side to change camera angles/parking space) Make sure 5F-long coding-byte19-bit4 is set to not active Go into 5F adaptions Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2: VPS_0x0B: activated VPS_0x0B_msg_bus: Comfort data bus Then depending on what buttons you have missing go into 6c-long coding correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_1 correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_2 correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_3 correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_5 4 and 6 give you function not available

Hey everyone. I am sorry to bother you guys, but I need some help here. I am new to the obdeleven and coding. I just bought a 2015 gti/MK7. It did not have a back up camera so I found one on ebay and got the wiring kit from a company in Germany. It's the same one I have seen on this forum. I installed it all,but when I put the car in reverse It flips up, but I get nothing on my screen. I have checked and my model radio is not on the no list for it. I heard you have to code your car in the end of the installation, but that is where I am stuck. How can I code it using the obd 11 pro? If someone knows how and could show me a step by step tutorial that would be awesome. I have no idea where to start you know. Thank you in advance for your help. Stay blessed and safe travels to all.

thanks everyone for thinking along Camera has been mounted, and works perfectly Maybe want to set it again on highline, but don't know if that makes a big difference

You’ve activated both high line and lowline, and also do you mean 5f and not gateway? If so de activate the one in 5f and 76

when I coded my camera I used the same code data as yourself except instead of comfort data box I have put in terminal 15 as the suppliers said ,would this cause my problem
Make sure 5F-long coding-byte19-bit4 is set to not active
Go into 5F adaptions
Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2:
VPS_0x0B:
activated
VPS_0x0B_msg_bus:
Comfort data bus
Then depending on what buttons you have missing go into 6c-long coding
correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_1
correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_2
correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_3
correspondence_HMI_RV_mode_5
4 and 6 give you function not available

Not tried terminal 15 in myself, so can’t tell you if that’s the problem,

thankyou I will try it,i had the same problem when I had the mib 2 installed and now after a mib2.5 retrofit with the the 9.2 screen I still have the same trouble with the camera not showing the small sensor screen only the sound when approaching an object when I disable the bapvps and code the 5f as a low camera it all works but the the whole idea was getting a camera with the different parking options

help I was in 5f coding and the adaptions at the bap vrs trying something with my rear camera but I must have coded something or done something to the adaptions because it changed the first three letters of my 5f longcode from 027 to167 and now I have no visual opc just sound and no navigation the rest of the code was the same if anybody has any idea what I have done ,by the way if I manually put the original 027 code in everything works

Not 100 but I think 02 is the brand vw, 16 would be another brand of car (seat, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini etc) Long coding goes in pairs of numbers so it wouldn’t be 027
Also maybe you telling it in the gateway you have a high camera and one of two things are happening, either you haven’t got a highline or as in a lot of cases it needs coding as most new highline cameras the long coding is 00 and need a vw dealer to reprogram in Odis What’s your long coding of module 6c?
